Dog Days of Summer, Part 3

Today's post continues my sharing of summer memories.  This is the next to the last post in my little 'mini series' and then you'll see how I used it all as color inspiration to guide my artistic creations.  Be sure to stay with me so you don't miss anything:)

When the boys and their family moved out in July, it was to a new home and a new pool.  I'm so happy for them.  I miss them bunches and am glad they are still close by to us.  It's a dream come true to have them living just a few minutes away.  I am blessed to be able to be an important part of their lives.  They bring constant joy, wonder, entertainment... We share many happy times together.

Today:  Pool Fun!!!
If these 2 shots don't say 'Dog Days of Summer' I don't know what would:)  He's one happy boy.

It's amazing how much fun you can have with a pool noodle:)
Gotta love the goggles.
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you continue to enjoy your Dog Days of Summer.  I have 1 more post to share with you on my summer memories and then I have something special to share that relates to all this --- color inspiration!!!

Sept. 11: Pause to Remember

I'd like to take today to pause to remember.  Let us never forget.
That's all for today.  I just want to spend the day reflecting.  Let us pray for friends, family and peace.  We live in a scary world.  I would not want to tackle it alone.  I am so thankful for friends, family, my church, our pastors and the love of God.

Dog Days of Summer, Part 2

Today post will continue my reflection of our summer of 2013.  Remember, when I finish this short 'mini series' I will share with you how I've used the photos as a color inspiration to guide and direct my artistic creations.  Be sure to check back to see what I do with it all.  It's going to be fun!

Today's feature:  Aaron and Olive Jane:
Ever wonder what I do with all those left over Stampin' Up! boxes?  A lot go into recycle, but a lot also go into 'kid projects' and these 2 little ones enjoyed a long session of coloring on them with some old markers.  Love it!
Are you wondering why a snow board is out now?  It's a pirate shield in the summer, of course:)
Doesn't this little face just melt your heart?
The look of concentration?  She's trying to figure out how to pedal.
...more coloring... and here's our pirate hat again:)
Thanks for stopping by.  I've made a teeny tiny bit of progress on organizing my stash of antiquing 'finds' so they're ready for me to work on over the next few months.  That's the best I can do for now.  I'm off to work in my studio and perhaps I'll tackle a bit of laundry and cleaning today.  I've already started my decorating for Fall.  I love doing that!!!  Life is good.
