More Just Believe

I can't stop having fun with this Just Believe set. I love using the soft colors with it, too. Some day, I'll try an entirely new color scheme with this set. I promise!  In the meantime, I'm loving this color story.

Time for Some Cards!

Here are some bright and colorful cards that sing out Spring!
Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Poppy Parade are some of my favorites! Go to my Stampin' Up website to learn more about these projects.

Back to Work in My Studio

After an absolutely fabulous week with my grandsons, I am back to work in my studio -- even though I'm missing them something terrible. This is a cute little card that just speaks of Spring to me. I love the Daffodil Delight and Concord Crush combo.

Painting Time

In place of my artwork, here is a painting by one of my grandsons. Just like their Nanna, my grandsons love to stamp, paint, play, and spend time together.

Works of Art

Check out how Aaron is holding the crayons.  Don't ask why... he's Aaron:)

Part of the fun of having the grandbabies come to visit is getting to 'create' with them. They LOVE working in my studio!

Time for Family Fun!

I have my grandsons here all week and we're having a ball!  I don't know how much stamping I'll get done (other than with them) but I'm sure we'll have a good time. I've been missing them so much!  I know the week will go by way, way, way too fast.

3 Trees

This framed art is one of my contributions for our church's art auction next week (Art with Heart). It uses the Season of Friendship stamp set. Once again, I removed the glass so I could add more dimension to the framed project. Any time you make a project like this, you can change out what you display in the frame, so it's very versatile.

A Coordinated Little Gift Set

I love making little coordinated gifts. The 'belly band' on the embossed tin can be changed out if I want a different color scheme. The pin cushion uses some of our beautiful Springtime Vintage fabric.

...nearly to the end of my Decor Elements to show you

I will try for a better photo when I have more light, but I just had to share one more idea with you for using Decor Elements --- to customize your vehicle. We just got a new mini van (in hopes of lots of fun trips with the grandbabies:) and I wanted to give it a personal touch. This is the DE called Dotted Flourish. I love the look!

Platters of Decor Elements!!!

I love the 'Hem Your Blessings' DE and found it fits perfectly on my large red platter or the tray. The charger is perfect for the small medallion (got that idea from my daughter:)

More Fun in the Laundry Room

My laundry room is small, so I wanted to keep the colors light and cheery. The walls are a pale, sunny yellow and I added white DE flowers to the ironing cubby door, to pull in the white accents in the room. Behind the door is the cutest little ironing board. We moved here 5 years ago, but don't ask me how many times I've actually USED the ironing board:) By the way, you can easily pull off the DE flowers if you want a new look and it will not hurt the wood or walls at all.

Fun DE in the Laundry Room

If you have to do laundry, you might as well have a fun place in which to stash your supplies. This 'tub' was intended for holding ice and drinks for a party. It works great as a container in the laundry room. I like the contrast of the black DE against the white tub.

Another One of my Very Favorites!

This is one of my very favorite DE projects in my home. I painted the canvas with gesso and then leftover wall paint. After letting it cure a few days, I added the wreath and our monogram. The choc. chip ribbons add the finishing touch. This hangs in our entryway beside our front door.

Decor Elements in the Master Bath

I am fortunate to have a really beautiful and huge master bath. The jet tub is backed by a tub to ceiling mirror with a sky light above. I wanted to give it a real spa-like feel, so I used the large DE stems on the walls at each end of the tub. I like the way they're reflected in the mirror and it does feel like a spa.

Decor Elements in the Master Bedroom

I used the smaller size of the DE stems above the headboard in the master bedroom. The printer's tray is something I inherited from my sister. A year or so after I decorated it with some of the beach treasures I collected on our OBX vacations, Pottery Barn came out with a similar idea. I guess they liked my work!

Decor Elements with Framed Art

I love using DE with framed art. The stems are attached on the outside of the glass so I can change out the paper inside the frame any time I want a new color scheme. The chipboard letters are embossed (3X) with choc. chip craft ink and clear embossing powder.

Decor Elements in my Dining Room

Here is one of my absolute favorites! The large sized tree (DE: Tree, Thoughts and Prayers) fits perfectly above the chair rail in my dining room. The text (and birds) are a second DE: Direction of Your Dreams. I used the larger size for that, as well.

Decor Elements in my Kitchen

I love taking ready-made items and adding DE to them. This handy item is in my kitchen. I've used the smaller sized DE 'Eat' on the smooth side and then added old cards to the smaller sections. This adds a nice accent to the kitchen and is functional as well.

Pieces of Decor Elements

In my previous post, I had actually used more than 1 package of the Long Stem Silhouette DE on the wall. I took a part of the second image and cut it apart. This made it easy to add just a touch on a tiny corner wall. The stems are on opposite ends of the room, so they compliment each other nicely.

Decor Elements on the Wall

I love using bits of Decor Elements here and there in little spaces around my home. It adds an elegant touch and is easy to do. The shadow box is a scrapbooked tribute to my late sister from when she was a baby. Sadly, only one cute sock survived to go with the adorable little shoes. I've added some of her little jewelry and her favorite rattle. She was a cutie.

Using Decor Elements on a Bulletin Board

You can apply Decor Elements to any smooth surface, even cork and magnetic boards. The little envelopes on the 'line' are made with our Petal Card Punch and the 'mail' in them is made with our coordinating hostess stamp set, Cute by the Inch. The large CS flowers were made with the Big Shot.

Sad news...

Sometimes life just doesn't seem fair. We found out today that our 6 year old grandson will probably not outgrow his allergies to milk and eggs. A grandma should be able to take her grandson out for ice cream.

A Little Birdie Told Me

I love the look of Concord Crush and Daffodil Delight together. This cute little card shouts spring! If you would like to learn how to make it, sign up for my March 12 cards class. The class is from 3:00-5:00. You must pay ($10.) on or before March 10. There is also a Big Shot class that same day, from 1:00-3:00. For that class, you need to bring your Big Shot, your MPP, and your cutting plates. That class is $10. for those who bought their Big Shot from me and $16. for others. If you sign up for BOTH classes on or before March 10, you get a $2.00 discount off your class fee total. Go to my website for complete information on classes as well as lots of projects to inspire your own creativity.
