All Ye Faithful, Version Two

Today's card is a second version of my previous post.  They're very similar and use the same stamp set.
In today's card, I've used ovals again, but in a slightly different way and I've added an embossed (and shimmer spritzed) layer beneath the ovals.
Which version do you like the best?

All Ye Faithful, Version One

Today's post is for sharing another Christmas card.  I'll show Version one in this post and Version two in my next post.
Combine Silver Glimmer Paper, Night of Navy CS and silver embossing and you're off to a great start.
I lightly sponged around the image.  I love the little sheep on the envelope.

Embossed Trio of Pines

Here's a quick post before I start my Christmas Retreat.  I can't wait!!!  This is a trio of pines embossed in gold onto our Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Papers.  The gold foil layer behind them brings out the pretty image and pulls it all together.
I wanted to keep this card really simple, yet elegant.  The card base, as well as the stamped trees on the envelope, are all elegant black.  I like how it turned out.
Bye for now.  I'm off to my Retreat.  Let the fun begin!

Flurry of Wishes with a Highlighted Snowflake

Today's post is brought to you by our Flurry of Wishes... and me:)  Before we go further, if you are local and attended my Christmas Open House, I have your order ready for pick-up.  I'm having trouble reaching a couple of people and hope you'll catch this reminder.
So now, for my card ...
This was a fun card to make and came together pretty quickly.
I've used Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo, with a layer of white between them, to brighten the card and to bring out the white in my highlighted snowflake.
I used our white Signo Gel Pen to highlight each section of my snowflake.
If you look closely, you can catch a bit of the shimmer mist that I spritzed over the top layer of the card, to add some extra sparkle and shimmer.  The Iced Rhinestone embellishment is the perfect touch to finish off my card.
I'm almost finished with everything for my Christmas Retreat this Saturday.  I can't wait for another fun day of stamping with friends.

My Snowflake Banner ... A Fun Project

Instead of a card or scrapbook project, I have a banner project for you today.  It's fun to make and pretty quick and easy... so I kept making another and another and ...
I used 2 alternating designs for my banner pieces.  Here is the first design.
Here is the second design I used.  I embossed the wooden Snowflake Elements with Gold EP.
It's pretty difficult to get a shot of the banner in place, because it's pretty long.  I think I ended up with 26 pieces altogether.
The banner runs the entire width of my studio.
Click here to see a fun video from Stampin' Up! on alternate ways to use our Spider Web doilies.
Above and below:  images from the video...
So... now it's time for you to order up some of these fun doilies and get to work.  Enjoy!

Double Pocket Gift Card Holder

I'm so happy to be back in the blog world after a horrible bout with a stomach bug of some sort.  I'll spare you the details.  Today, I have a gift card holder to share with you, along with news about many wonderful products that are soon to retire.
Here's my little double pocket gift card holder.
Score your bag 4" up from the bottom and fold, as shown.  It will create 2 pockets.  You can use this design with other sizes of bags, just by adjusting where you need to place your fold.
You can place Christmas greetings, a favorite photo, a small, flat treat, or a gift card in one or both pockets.  You're limited only by your imagination.
Now, for the news.
Stampin' Up! is trying something new this year --- putting out a list of what will soon to be retiring from our current Holiday Catalog.  If one of more of these items is on your 'wish list' --- PLEASE --- do not wait to order or it may already be sold out.
Here's a link to the retired list and to help you with your shopping.

Iridescent Ice: The Magic Ingredient

Today, let's take a closer look at a card for my upcoming Nov. 21 Christmas Retreat that uses Iridescent Ice with Designer Series Papers (DSP).  This embossing powder adds an almost magical quality to your project.
One of my favorite 'go to' elements of cards that beg for sparkle and glam is our Iridescent Ice embossing powder (EP).  It is gorgeous.  I actually have 2 containers of it.  One container has just the Iridescent Ice and the other container has a mixture of White EP and Iridescent Ice EP.   The mixture is great for making a sparkling snow effect.
The DSP is attached behind the ornament shaped opening, after glamming it up with Iridescent Ice EP.

Double the Fun... in TWO Ways!!!

I have double the fun for you today... a double ornament card and good news for two (OR MAYBE SIX) lucky people.  Keep reading to learn about the card AND the good news.  Some lucky people are going to be very surprised today!!!  First, the card:
This is a closer look at one of the cards we'll be making at my Nov. 21 Christmas Retreat.  Instead of stamping on the inside of the card, this time I chose to add a strip of our Glimmer Paper at the bottom of the CS inside the card.  It looks really pretty on it and coordinates nicely with the card front.
The ornaments are embossed with Silver EP onto CS and then cut out with our thinlits.
Drum roll, please.  Here comes a big surprise for TWO lucky people (per prize)... as in double the fun!!!  I mentioned at the beginning of 2015 that I would have a big surprise toward the end of the year and I'll bet no one even remembers me announcing this in my classes.  Good!  Now, it's even more of a surprise.  I wanted to do something really special this year, in appreciation for my customers who have loyally attended my classes throughout the year and have placed orders with me throughout the year, as well.  I have been saving up names for my own secret drawing.  I had the furry babies help me with the drawing.  (Talk about a challenge!)  I decided to have 3 prize categories, with two winners at each category.  Here's who the furry babies chose as our winners.  Another drum roll, please.

TWO FIRST PLACE WINNERS:
Marsha White
Elaine Beam
FIRST PLACE PRIZES --- ATTEND MY NOV. 21 CHRISTMAS RETREAT AS MY GUEST!!!!!

TWO SECOND PLACE WINNERS:
Priscilla Snelson
Sheila Witts-Mannweiler
SECOND PLACE PRIZES -- $25. SHOPPING SPREE AT MY $1.00 SALE.  Call to arrange your time to come shop!!!!!

Cherie Lowhorn
Brenda Clark
THIRD PLACE PRIZES --- Take $10. off a class of your choice... good through July 2016!!!

THESE PRIZES MAY NOT BE USED WITH OTHER COUPONS, PRIZES, OR TOKENS OR EXCHANGED FOR ANY OTHER CHOICES.  HOPEFULLY, YOU'LL ENJOY THEM AS GIVEN.

So you see... it's double fun at first, second, AND third place for our winners.  Congrats!  I hope you enjoyed my double fun post today.

Beautiful Flurries Card

Today I have a 'beautiful flurries' card to share with you, in gorgeous Island Indigo.  This is another card for my Nov. 21 Christmas Retreat.
I think the beauty of this card speaks for itself.  I really like how this one turned out.
The little touches of bling just pull it all together.

Peaceful Wreath Card

Here is another card that I created for my November 21 Christmas Retreat.  This one shows off beautiful gold embossing and a gorgeous stamp set.
The envelope and the inside of the card are stamped and embossed to carry out the rich, elegant look of this card.
Important tip:
Heat set the wreath after coloring in the leaves and berries with markers, or it will smear.
