New Updates on Free Brusho Class

It's time for an update on how you can qualify for a free Brusho class.  This is going to be soooooo much fun! But first...

Happy 4th!!  God bless America and God bless you.
By the way, the bursts of color could be created, with a little creative play, with Brusho or inks.  Sometimes, it's fun to have a creative session of just playing and experimenting with color.

Now, on to our Brusho!!!  Oh the fun we'll have!  We'll be working on a swatch book, so you can remember and use all the techniques I'll be presenting in class, including fixing our new Brusho pots so they're ready for action.  If time, we'll make a couple of cards, too.  You'll go home with some fun ... and useful ... goodies!
Here's what you'll need to purchase to earn this free class:
That's 4 items:
- Brusho
- the Stamp Set
- the Aqua Painters
- a package of watercolor paper

I hope you'll join us for one of the most fun classes I hope to ever teach.  Yes!  It's that good:)

AVAILABLE DATES:
Saturday, Sept. 29 / 1:00-4:00
Saturday, Oct. 27 / 1:00-4:00
Free for Qualifying Customers

How about a free Brusho class?

Brusho is a pigmented crystal watercolor powder and it is more fun than any product I've ever used - or at least it ties with our new Stampin' Blends:)  It's almost like magic.  Best of all, you can use it in lots of different ways.  It's fun and it's versatile and your class could be free!  On Saturday, April 21, I will be teaching all about using our wonderful new Brusho products.  You can sign up to take the class for $20. OR choose one of my options below and earn the class for FREE.
I've changed up your options a bit, to make it even easier to earn your free class!

Option One:
Order just the Brusho and you will be able to take the class for free.

Option Two:
Order the Brusho, the Beautiful Day stamp set, the Aqua Painters and a pack of Watercolor Paper, and you'll receive a special gift at your free class.
At the class, I'll share a variety of ways that you can use the Brusho.  We'll make 2 beautiful cards using this product and then we'll work on a swatch book.  The swatch book will help you remember all the ways we learned to use Brusho.  I'll also give you a handout describing each technique we use.  If you don't want a swatch book, you could use the little pages for focal pieces on cards you make later at home.

Brusho, Embossing Paste, and Medallion Stencil

I love our new medallion stencil.  I used it with embossing paste over a Brusho background and it now reminds me of a stained glass window.  The Tranquil Tide card base works perfectly for this project.
I added 3 Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers, but I think the card would look just as beautiful without them.
I love how you get the lighter and darker shades of blues and greens using the Brusho
I've always loved blues and greens together and this card makes my heart happy.
August Classes:
August 14 -- Scraps and Prayers
     5:30-7:30 / $15.00 -- book box with cards project
-------  ONLY 2 REMAINING SPOTS.  SIGN UP ASAP.
We'll be making this book box, along with the 3 cards below.

You've Got This 2 Ways

I have a card for you today that has 2 different backgrounds ... all with my wonderful Brusho.  It's interesting how a color change can change the look of a card using the same design.
The first card has beautiful blues and greens mixed together.

The second card has beautiful blues and purples.  I think I like the first one the best, but I really like both.  It is so much fun to play with Brusho for the backgrounds because, to a great extent, it's always a wonderful surprise to see the end result.

April Events:
April 10 / Scraps and Prayers / Easter Egg Carton Project / 5:30-7:30 / $15.00 / I'll have a special treat for you, too!

April 22 / Saturday Stampers / Birthday Bonanza / 1:00-4:00 / $20.00 / NOTE:  NEW DATE.

Be sure to look over on the left side of my blog for sneak peeks at the projects for my April classes!!!

Stencils, Masks, Spritzing, Daubing and More ... It's All Fun!

I have a card to share with you today where I used my Brusho Crystal Colour and a stencil for some creative fun.  There are many ways you can use stencils/masks in your projects.  Gee, if you'd like to learn more about some of these fun techniques, I just happen to be having a class on Saturday, March 18 and I'd love to have you come and join us.  We'll be using stencils creatively.
For this card, I covered my watercolor paper with an old Stampin' Up! (retired) stencil.  Then I sprinkled 3 of my Brusho Crystal Colour powders over the areas where I wanted to add the design.  (You only need a teeny tiny bit of the powders.)  Then I lightly misted over it with a fine misting bottle.
After removing the stencil, I let it air dry.  I then took another piece of watercolor paper and just added powders and water mist, until I got a nice effect.  I let this one air dry, too.  When it was completely dry, I punched out the butterflies, using 2 sizes of punches.  I punched 2 extra of the larger butterflies --- one for the inside of the card and one for the envelope.
Adding the black layers behind the stenciled piece and behind the butterflies really makes the colors pop.  Please note --- This is not really intended to be a perfect design.  It's just to give a fun, random effect of adding colors to your project... more of an abstract art style.  It is super fun, too!  Once the butterflies were punched out, I added shimmer mist to them to give them a beautiful shimmer.  Love it!!!
In my next post, I'll be sharing some hexagons in bright blues and greens.  See you then!

Special Reason Meets Brusho, Part 2

Are you ready for my part 2 version of my Special Reason card?  Let's just jump right in and let the fun begin!
As you can see, changing the color behind the flower really makes a difference.
Can you see the beautiful color variations made with the Brusho Crystal Colour?  It is just so much fun to play with this product.  Every project comes out differently and is always a wonderful surprise.
Which version of my two cards do you like the best?
I haven't decided which version I like the best, but I do know I'll be playing more with this great product.  I even ordered a DVD called Brusho Crystal Colour  ... and beyond.  I tried to watch part of it yesterday, but Joey pushed a few keys on my laptop and it went into a different project.  It was fascinating to see all the artist did with it.  By the way, I got all these products through Amazon, in case you're interested.
Because of being out of state for our friend's funeral, I'm running a bit behind in posting some sneak peeks for my March 18 class.  I  now have a sneak peek up for you to see (on the left).  You have until March 16 to pay to register.  Your payment holds your spot.  We'll be playing with some of my Brusho, using stencils creatively and having a ball.  I'm getting out stencils, Brusho, Aqua Painters, spritzers, daubers, sponges, and more.  Let the fun begin!!!

Special Reason Meets Brusho, Part 1

After a quick trip to Wisconsin, to attend the funeral of a dear friend of ours, I'm back with some wonderful cards using Brusho Crystal Colour and/or watercoloring to create gorgeous projects.
I've made this card with 2 different color stories for the Brusho layer behind the cut flower.  We'll actually be making one of these versions at my March 13 Scraps and Prayers class.
Because the only difference between the 2 versions I made is the Brusho layer, everyone will get to choose if they'd like more of a turquoise layer or more of a bluish/purple layer like this one.
In the close-up above, you can see the beautiful variations of color from the Brusho Crystal Colour.  I don't know about you, but I just love this card!!!
Come back for my next post to see the second color version.
