Feels Like Frost Studio Displays

Being Christmas Eve and all, I thought today would be a good day to share some of my studio displays with you.  If you follow my blog, you'll know that I purchased an antique display cabinet/desk a while back and have been enjoying decorating it ever since.  It's perfect for showcasing some of my seasonal cards and projects.  Here's what I did for Christmas.
The basket contains just a few of the German Bells I made this season.  I'm happy to say that I probably made around a hundred of them and, to date, have shared them all!  It's so much fun to make something that you can share with others.  Spreading the joy ... that's what it's all about.

After Christmas, the new display will be so totally different, due to a bright new color story, you'll hardly recognize it.  I can't wait to share it with you!

Christmas Paper Pumpkin Cards, Part 3

I have a couple more cards for you today.  Enjoy!
The card above shows how to use a layer of our Mercury Glass Designer Acetate below the top layer of the card.
The card below shows a design without the birch trees, featuring a cardinal perched in the fir tree.

Christmas Paper Pumpkin Cards, Part 2

Ready for a couple more Paper Pumpkin cards?  Let's jump right into it.
I have always loved using a circle window on card fronts.  They're just so much fun!

When I was a little girl, my family used to vacation at a resort in Wisconsin that had cabins on a lake, surrounded by beautiful pines and lots and lots of birch trees.  I've loved birch trees ever since I first saw them.  They just seem so classy and elegant.

Whenever I add lots of layers to my card front, I always layer up the inside of my card, too, so the card has plenty of stability.
I love the little cardinals, too ... my favorite birds.

Frosted Frames Cards ... 2 Ways

I have 2 versions of a card design for you today.  I truly don't know which one I like the best.  Take a look and see what you think.
Basically, I made the same card twice, leaving out the background paper on the second version.  I really think they're both beautiful.
Using our Silver Foil-edged Cards makes for a fairly quick and easy card.  There's no prep at all for the card base and it's beautiful before you even begin creating.
Isn't the Feels Like Frost DSP gorgeous.  The back of each photo image sheet has silver foil on it.
So ... which version do you like the best?

I didn't photograph the insides, but we can stamp a Christmas message inside each of our cards, too.
All the cards this year at my retreat will be made with our beautiful foil-edged cards and envelopes.  Aren't they pretty?!!!

Old Olive Plaid Card

What a fun party we had Sunday!  I was so pleased that my guests spaced themselves out in such a way that I got to spend time with each one!  We partied until a little past our time ... and it was so much fun!
I had an early doctor's appointment yesterday and then I kind of took the day off and enjoyed reading a book by Clint Harp, their go-to carpenter from the Fixer Upper.  I loved his book and highly recommend it.  It's so inspirational to hear him share how he did so much to follow his dream.
Now, on to today's card.  I love plaid and I love Old Olive, so when I can enjoy them together ... I'm a happy camper.
Spoiler Alert:
We're going to have Old Olive Linen Thread in our upcoming Occasions catalog!  Yay!
I spent some extra time being sure to center the plaid design before I cut it.  It gives it a much more elegant look.
I love the look of this card, but there's more you could do with it.  If you just changed out the sentiment, I think you could turn it into a great birthday card, especially for a guy.  It's always good to have more ideas for masculine cards and plaid always works.
