Cardinal Card

Happy Day After Christmas Day!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  We went to our daughter's and celebrated with her family and my son and his family.  It was just wonderful.
The best gift of all --- the blessings of being with family.
We're going to visit my In-Law's graves today and praise God for the blessings of all they taught us and meant to us.
Tomorrow, I will get back to eating properly and make plans for a healthy, happy New Year.

Now, for today's card ---

Here's another card from our last Scraps and Prayers class.  There's a special trick I used to bring out the details in the cardinal.
- Stamp the cardinal in Crumb Cake, using the Stamparatus.
- Color the cardinal using our Watercolor Pencils.
- Stamp the cardinal again in Soft Suede, using the Stamparatus.

All 3 pieces - the cardinal, the branch, and the banner, are cut out using dies.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the message on the inside of the card.

Christmastime is Here Reindeer Wreath Card

I have a fun post for you today.  This is one of the cards we made at our November Scraps and Prayers class.  It was a big hit.

The deer is a carry-over from last year and I'm so happy to get to use him again.

I added 2 layers and a stamped greeting for the inside of the card.  It makes the card fancier for Christmas and adds extra stability, since there are so many layers on the card front.  I love how this one turned out.

Stylish Christmas Card 2 Ways

The first card I made with this design is shown in the second photo here.  I wanted to keep it simple and let the gorgeous embossed flourish image be the star.  I liked it ... a lot ... but I kept thinking it needed something more.  I decided to stamp and then fussy cut the poinsettia image and see what it looked like on my card.  I tried it and I loved it.  With the gold foil edged card and envelope, this makes for a very elegant Christmas card.

Beautiful Blizzard / Dashing Deer Card

Here's another beautiful deer for you and today's is in gold.  I love our new foil-edged cards and envelopes.  They're all ready for you to use them to create something beautiful.  If you're in the area and thinking of signing up for my Stamp-A-Stack class, we'll be using some of these beautiful cards and envelopes for our creations.  They come in silver, also.
