5 Days of Emerald Envy, Day Five

Let's wrap up our 5 Emerald Envy days with a really green card.  I just love this one.  The white embossed image against the vivid green really makes for an elegant card.
This card is really simple and has a lot of elegance.
The large open image is perfect for this type of card.

Five Days of Dapper Denim, Day One

Let's take a few days to enjoy some delightful Dapper Denim.  This is truly a gorgeous shade of blue.  Today's card demonstrates the elegance of simple white flowers against the blue background.
I've used dry embossing on the inside and heat embossing on the front of the card.  The envelope shows off some emboss resist, with sponging over white (heat embossed) flowers.
This is a favorite, for sure.

I still have an opening for Saturday's class:

Crumb Cake and Floral Card

After my post yesterday, another absolutely gorgeous birthday card came in the mail --- from my dear friend, Laura.  It's raining here today, so I'll need some sunshine so I can take some good shots of it.  I can't wait to share it with you.  I love it!

For today, I have some Crumb Cake goodness to share with you.
I used a card template design that is one of my favorites.
I have some embossing and sponging on the inside of the card.
This DSP is one of my absolute favorites.  Notice the little touch of Cucumber Crush Baker's Twine?

Playing With Watercolors, Part 2

I have a really bright and cheerful card for you today... three, actually.  I love these colors together and can't begin to tell you how much fun it is to play with them on watercolor paper.
Aren't these colors pretty together?  I've used Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder and Tangerine Tango.
I stamped and sponged the inside of the card and the corner of the envelope.
This card has the same colors, only I've applied them to be much lighter and then did a lot of blotting to lighten them even more.
To get the water spots... it's just that... water spots:)  I spritzed some water into the palm of my hand and then flicked it onto the paper.  As it dries, it removes more of the color.  The joy of creating cards with these techniques is that you get a different result each and every time.  It's always a surprise and always fun!
Well... my next post will be starting a little series to introduce you to the new In Colors and show you my take on playing with these colors.  I'm still trying to choose a favorite.  I have lots of fun in store for your stamping inspiration, so be sure to come on back and check it out.
