Cutest Little Copper Tin for Christmas

I needed a little gift for a special someone recently and this is what I designed for her gift.  I think it's really cute.  Having this darling DSP makes it easy to create a special gift for someone.  It's filled with coordinating little gift enclosure cards.  These make cute little cards to share a special 'just because' note in someone's lunch or on their desk at work or whatever you'd like, in addition to using them as gift enclosures.  The tin has as many uses as your imagination can dream up.

Joy ... Simple Joy ... Down in my Heart

I directed the Children's Choirs in my church for nearly 20 years and loved every minute of it.  I had between 20 and 30 in each of my 3 choirs ... ages 2 1/2 through grade 7.  We put on 2 musicals a year and sang in church twice each month, along with having weekly rehearsals for the school age children and Sunday School music times for the little ones and, of course, Bible School in the summer.  It was quite a program.  One of the songs I taught the little ones began: "I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart ... down in my heart to stay.  They are simple, and worthy words by which to live.
Here are some of my joys today:
- getting my MIL moved into a smaller apartment in the Congregate at Christian Village in her town.
- getting to see my grandchildren often and getting to be an important part of their lives.
- making birthday cards for our church to send each month --- spreading the joy ...
- knowing the workers are nearing the last week of work in our home.
- playing with my fur babies each day.
- even though we can't really decorate for Christmas this year, enjoying our beautiful neighborhood of gorgeous lights.  They really did an outstanding job this year and I love it.
- teaching my art classes and seeing first hand the joy I can share with others.
- knowing that my 'students' are sharing their cards and projects with others ... spreading the joy ...
- making cards and gifts that I can share with others --- spreading the joy ...
- knowing in my heart that I have the love of God and the peace and joy that brings to me.

I'm sure there are many others, but those are at the top of my list right now.

So ... I had some pieces left from my Santa's Workshop DSP ... and ... I had these 'JOY' wooden letters on hand for quite a while.  I decided to decorate them to coordinate with all my Santa's Workshop projects.  They turned out pretty cute.

Adding snowflakes and ribbons really dressed up my wooden letters.  For the 'O' I wanted to add a large snowflake to the center.  It's double-sided and hangs in the center, suspended by some Baker's Twine.  It's cut from Glimmer Paper, so it's very sparkly.  I also added sparkle to the letter itself.  After attaching the DSP and letting it dry, I added a top coat of clear Gesso and, while it was still wet, I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter all over it.  It's very sparkly!

Cash or Check ... or Card and Gift Card?

Oh yes I do!  I have another idea for you for making gift card / cash / or check holders.  There's room to add a card in the pocket, too.  These ideas have all been very popular on my blog, so I'm happy to give you yet another idea. 
As with the goodies bags in my last post, I kept them simple, so you'd have time to make multiples of them.  These were for my customers who ordered at my Holiday Open House Party and were slipped in with their orders when they picked them up.  It was just one more way I could spoil my loyal customers at Christmas time.  Want to see?  Take a look.

Baker's Boxes AND Goodies Bags

When our family (with ALL our grandkids:) went to ride the Polar Express Train to the North Pole, we received several nice gifts.  I was still thinking about how I would get them home safely when they passed out special (very sparkly!) silver bags for us to carry everything home.  How nice!  I had used the same idea at my Holiday Open House Party and gave everyone a goodies bag.  They really needed it because, by the end of the party, they were taking home a favor box, a Baker's Box (with their chocolates!), all their Make and Takes, a receipt of their orders, a handout about my next classes, and possibly more:)  It was such a fun party.  I was glad I'd thought of a goodies bag for them.

I made all their favors and goodies bags coordinated, by using our Santa's Workshop DSP.  It's so cute and, unfortunately, all sold out already.  It was very popular.  Now that my Holiday Open House Party is over, I'm still making bags ... this time, they're for my daughter to use at our church's December 1 Christmas Shoppe.

Fun Little Treats in Baker's Boxes

For part of my refreshments at my Holiday Open House Party, I had some chocolates out, ready to eat.  So they could take some home, too, I made everyone a gift box of chocolates, using our cute little Baker's Boxes that I'd decorated with our fun Santa's Workshop DSP.  Here they are.

These little elves are just so cute!

The treats were from a tin of Chocolate Lover's treats from one of my favorite Boy Scouts.  I always try to support all their efforts.  So far, I have 2 loyal and hardworking Boy Scouts and a cute little Brownie.  I'm sure Joey will want to join in on the fun, too, when he's old enough.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE PARTY TODAY!

My party is today and I'm excited to have everyone come for a while and have some fun.

These little Gable Boxes make darling Christmas houses for party favors.  They'd be great for 'wrapping' small gifts, too.
