REMINDERS:
Be sure you've marked your calendars for Dec. 11, 2:00-5:00.
It's my Christmas Open House/Customer Appreciation Event and all my customers are invited. There will be games, prizes, displays to inspire you, goodies, my Christmas Boutique (I have LOTS of gift items this year!!!) and a FREE Make and Take project for those who give me an RSVP. Come and join in on the fun.
Don't forget to remind your friends and family that I have gift certificates available, in any amount they'd like to purchase. If they place an order of $25. or more with me on or before Dec. 10, I will even gift wrap it for them!
Now, for today's project:
Talk about a fun project! I loved making the Advent calendar. I tried to make mine quite similar to the one in the holiday mini. The red plaid is from Frostwood Lodge DSP. Instead of using garden green, I used always artichoke. Using always artichoke with cherry cobbler and early espresso makes a gorgeous color combination. My other DSP is from the neutrals and the regals collections of DSP paper stacks. You need the Peekaboo Frames die and the 25 and Counting stamp set to make this project. You could substitute the stamp set with our Christmas Bingo stamp set and it would work well, too. The '25 and Counting' set does have all the numbers. The little images are really cute.
Again, let me remind you how much fun it is to create a framed project. They make great gifts and great additions to your own holiday decor.
A VERY SPECIAL REMINDER:
If you're planning on ordering products from Stampin' Up! for gifts or to use to create your own holiday projects, please don't wait until the last minute. It only takes Stampin' Up! a day or two to fill most every order. But......... after that, it goes to shipping at UPS. They do a fabulous job, but sometimes people forget that they are shipping your order all the way from Utah --- by truck. It goes from shipping center to shipping center and then to us. Give it time and avoid stressing yourself. There's a reason we tell you that your order will take a week to 10 days. Utah is NOT very close to us:) You can do an expedited shipping, for additional fees. The 'next day air' is pretty expensive but the 2-day fee is just $20. and, if you need it right away, this is a way of doing it. To get an order in 2 days, the order must be placed before 11:00 AM and then it will arrive 2 days later.
Tip:
You cannot count the weekends in expedited shipping because UPS does not deliver to us on the weekends. For example, if you placed an order on a Thursday morning before 11:00 AM, it would arrive here on Monday -- 2 business days later -- for the 2-day expedited shipping.
December 1 and counting!!!
Happy December. Now go create something beautiful!
