I liked the old ink pads just fine, but knew we could always improve on things.
For a couple of weeks now, I've been using the new ink pads and love, love, love them!
Here are the features I love:
- They provide better ink coverage.
- The light-tap stamping produces flawless images.
- They are juicer, which means they will have better ink pad longevity.
- They come with a label on the bottom (in English, Spanish, French and German) that you can peel off and use to label the end of your new stamp pad.
- They use the same flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad stays moist.
- They are available in all our colors, including our exclusive In Colors.
- They are made with a firm foam instead of felt, so they will not become bowed in the middle over time.
- Because they are foam instead of felt, your pad won't develop frayed edges over time.
- The firm foam material is soft and easy to use to ink up your stamps.
- The ink is absorbed evenly into your card stock, so the image does not come out blotchy.
- It has an increased opacity and stamps solid images beautifully.
- I think it takes slightly longer to dry, but you can always use the low setting on our new heat tool to speed things up, if you're in a hurry.
FORGET EVERYTHING I EVER TOLD YOU ABOUT INKING UP YOUR STAMP:
- Forget the "twist, twist, twist / tap, tap, tap" and just lightly tap, tap, tap.
- Do still remember to stamp gently and not rock your stamp or press too hard, which will distort your image.
- I like to 'stamp off' on my grid paper before I clean my stamp on the Stampin' Scrub pad. It keeps the pad clean longer. Less time cleaning the scrub pad means more time to stamp:)
Please note:
Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with our new firm foam pads. Stampin' Up! does NOT recommend using the old reinkers in these 5 colors of the new firm foam pads.
These colors are:
- Basic Black
- Basic Gray
- Marina Mist
- Perfect Plum
- Tempting Turquoise
Sign up for one of my classes and give them a test drive. I think you'll be amazed!!!
