Happy Halloween!

I haven't done as much with Halloween cards or projects for this year, but I like what I did make.  Hope you have a happy and safe Halloween today!  My husband and I are suffering from terrible chest colds, so I don't think we'll be doing much for Halloween.  I've totally lost my voice and the puppies wonder why I'm squeaking at them instead of talking.

Double Buttons, Double Leaves Fall Card

How about another beautiful Fall card today?  I love the text on this one.
I played around with my embellishment, stacking up TWO gold metallic buttons, then adding bits of frayed burlap ribbon.  Our Liquid Tombow holds it all together easily.
My color story:
Cajun Craze
Crushed Curry
Mossy Meadow
a touch of BlackBerry Bliss
These were made with the same technique as in my previous post.

Back to More of my Fall Cards

Today, let's get back to some more of my Fall cards.   These were made with a similar technique to the framelits leaves cards I've shared in several previous posts, but this time I used our large die... to get larger leaves.
I fringed out some pieces from our burlap ribbon to make an embellishment with one of our gold metallic buttons.
Remember this card?  I created the leaves for it using the same technique.
After sponging my CS and then adding touches of gold embossing, here's how I cut the leaves.
I've saved all the scraps and will use them to cut out more leaves and/or pumpkins using our framelits.

Table Decor for Every Month of the Year, Part 4

Today, I'll be wrapping up this little series by sharing what I made for October, November and December.
For October, I used our wonderful little Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies.  They are in our current Holiday Catalog.  I love them!!!  I'll be sharing more ideas for using these in some of my future posts.  They have been super popular and I am constantly amazed and what people come up with using them.

I die cut the leaves, crumpled them, sponged them, added bits of VersaMark ink and sprinkled on a bit of gold EP and heat embossed them.  I then went over them again with the same ink and Iridescent Ice EP.  They are really pretty!

For December, I used our retired die to make the doves.  I actually cut 2 layers for each piece of Shimmery White CS and adhered them together, to make the dove more likely to hold up for future use.  I embossed the wings.  I love them!
I hope I've given you some good ideas to use for your own decor.  Any of these centerpieces can be adapted to make use of what you have in your own stash.  Enjoy!

Table Decor for Every Month of the Year, Part 3

Good morning!  Today, I'd like to share the table centerpieces I made for July, August and September.
For July, I made 3-D stars.  I spritzed glimmer paper with Pacific Point to get the blue stars.

For August, I had to rely on stamps I had from before I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, to get the right size for these.  This jar has tiny sea shells in it for filler, along with a little sparkly filler.

For September, I used die-cut flowers (had to reposition and cut twice to get more of a sunflower shape.  I added lots of layering, sponging and embossing to make the sunflowers more realistic.  I love how these turned out!

Table Decor for Every Month of the Year, Part 2

Today, as I continue my little series on table decor, let's look at April, May and June.
For April, I designed a large umbrella template and then made several and attached them to be 3-D.

For May, I used larger flowers die cut from our filter paper and spritzed them using shades of our new In Colors.

For June, I used our butterfly die and layered several butterflies, embossing the top layer.

Come back soon for more in this series.  Have a great day!

... and, before you go... here's the best photo for the week.

Table Decor for Every Month of the Year, Part 1

Today, I'm starting a new series to share some ideas with you for table centerpieces... for the entire year!  I volunteered to make centerpieces for our church's Birthday Bash dinner last September, so this is what I designed.  I wanted them to have some uniformity, so I chose large canning jars for each table and filled them with seasonal decor for each month.  I made 3 for each table.  Each centerpiece has lots of sparkle and bling for the filler in the jars and I used lots of pretty ribbons wherever possible.  All the pieces are attached to tiny dowels, so they stand up in the jars.

It was really fun and I think everyone liked them a lot.  The best part, besides making people happy, is that I bought tubs to store them and we'll use them again next time:)

Let's start with January, February and March.
For January, I used left-over snowflakes from one of our kits last year.
For February, I used several hearts die cut from our glimmer paper, scored them down the middle, and attached several so they'd be 3-D.
For March, I used die cut flowers cut from our filter papers and spritzed them until I got the shade I wanted.  After they dried, I spritzed them again with shimmer mist.

Come back soon to see the rest of my decor for each month.  Have a beautiful day.  I'm off to enjoy my Christmas Retreat today.  We're going to have fun!

Card #4 for My Christmas Retreat

Here's a closer look at the 4th card for my October 25 Christmas Retreat.
Adding the narrow silver ribbon over the wider seam binding adds a lot of texture and interest.  The tiny rhinestones add some great bling.  I added Washi Tape to coordinate the envelope and a punched star to the top of the tree.  I like this one a lot!
Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party make a great color combo.
Here again are all the cards.  Which one do you like the best?

Card #3 for My Christmas Retreat

Here's a closer look at the 3rd card for my October 25 Christmas Retreat.
I love the Lost Lagoon/Pear Pizzazz color combo, especially with the crisp, clean white layer.
I've used Washi Tape on the envelope and under the ribbon on the card.  This is one of my new favorites, for sure.  My finishing touch --- a few little rhinestones and a bit of Baker's Twine.

Card #2 for My Christmas Retreat

Here's a closer look at the second card we'll be making at my October 25 Christmas Retreat.
This card features the clean, crisp look of Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler.
My favorite touch is the little ribbon around the tree trunk.  I used our new little stapler to attach the ribbon to the punched oval tag piece.  Love it!
