Scraps and Prayers ... It's all about sharing, caring, and fun. / The Best Thing About Sharing Joy / Why I Must Do This

In answer to several recent questions about our Scraps and Prayers class, I thought I'd give you a little picture of what we're all about here.  
What's it all about?  
It's about sharing --- we share our joys and sometimes do a little 'Show and Tell' with a favorite project we've created.  
It's about caring -- we share our concerns and offer support to each other at what can be difficult times.  We have a brief devotion and join in a little prayer and then we're ready for some stamping fun.  
It's about fun.  What do we make at a class?  You name it!  We've made scrapbook layouts, framed decor projects, decorative letters, Christmas projects, including ornaments and samplers, and we've made cards (from my designs or from kits.)
As the class leader/teacher, my goal is to spread joy by bringing joy to others.  What a fun mission!  I share joy every time I teach a class how to create something wonderful.  No matter the project, the smiles are always there.  Many of our projects become gifts for a special someone or cards sent on their way to bring smiles to others.
Our group was started in 2009.  We have kind of a core of loyal class attendees who come on a very regular basis and then we always have a few others who come when they can.  We all love our times together and have grown very close.  I can't think of a better group to spend time with than these ladies.  I just love them to pieces.
Here's a peek at some of our projects:

These are all 'works in progress' because I shot the photos as they were working.  This was a super fun project.

These cards were created using card bases from our SAB goodies.  I stocked up on these because I think they're really pretty and save me a lot of time.

At the end of any card class, I always ask them to share which card was their favorite.  My husband actually started this when he came down during class one evening, to see what we were making and he asked them to tell which one was their favorite.  This is so much fun that we do it each time.  This is when I really see the smiles come out.

Now ask me why I continue to teach my classes, in spite of all I have going on with my grandchildren and all my health issues.  It's that moment in a class when someone holds out their card or project in front of themselves, smiles and says: "I just love this."  Now, that's something I wouldn't give up for anything.  I think it just makes me complete.  My art is my joy and sharing it just makes my joy that much greater.  I couldn't give it up if I tried.

Now, before I sign off for today, I must share the best part of all about sharing joy.  The more joy you spread, the more comes back to you.  Try it and you'll see.
