Sweet Soiree Treat Bags and LOTS of Exciting SU News

Aren't they cute?  I just love them and love, love, love these colors.  The good news is that these In Colors will be with us for another year.  I'll be so sad to say goodbye to Dapper Denim soon.  It was a great shade of blue.  We do have some great new colors coming, so keep reading!

Sweet Soiree Gift Boxes ... With Lids

Are you ready for another fun box ... or two?  This one has a lid and provides the opportunity to create a box and lid with complimentary patterns.  I love it!

The way I tied the ribbon around the lid allows it to be opened without having to untie the ribbon.

Aren't these embellishments cute?  They're from our Sweet Soiree Embellishments Kit.

You can fit 3 Rocher treats in it, all nestled in our Ready Shreddie.  Say that 3 times - fast - and you're set to smile all day.

I love using the CS and coordinating DSP together for this project.  They're so pretty.  To my knowledge, I think this is the first time we've had a DSP that works with Marina Mist.  It's such a pretty shade of blue.

With this DSP and coordinating CS, how could you NOT have a gorgeous little box or two?

One - Sheet Lidded Gift Boxes

I have found, over the last year or so, that I love making boxes and bags.  My favorite boxes to make are inspired by Sam Hammond, AKA Pootles, on her blog (http://pootles.co.uk/) OR another favorite of mine - Julie DiMatteo, on her blog (https://thepaperpixie.com/).  They both have wonderful projects, wonderful blog posts, and wonderful, easy to follow video instructions.  My favorite boxes to make start with cutting and scoring, not even using the punch board.  Over the next few posts, I'll be sharing a few of my box creations with you.  I hope you'll be inspired to try a few. 

I just love that these boxes each started out from a 12 X 12" piece of DSP.  I used the fancy side of the DSP to make my boxes as pretty as could be.

I used bits of our fun Ready Shreddie, popped a few treats nestled in it, closed the box and tied it with a pretty ribbon.

By using some embellishments from our Sweet Soiree Embellishments Kit, this was really a pretty quick project - and actually quite easy.

These are some of the largest boxes I've made.  They hold a surprising amount of goodies.

Petal Pair --- Embossing Fun

Here's a great pair for you:  Pair up our new Petal Pair TIEF (Textured Impression Embossing Folder) with our new Narrow Note Cards and you're ready to create a pair of fun little cards.  I made a pair of twins and a pair with soft colors and embellishments of flowers.

After embossing, I sponged over my raised images.  Note:  Keep a light touch when you sponge.

I thought the floral images were so colorful that my card front didn't need anything else at all.

On the two 'vine' image cards, because I created a soft background, I felt I could add a little more fun and not be too busy.  I added images from our little Sweet Soiree Embellishments Kit.  I love these little flower clusters!  Talk about a quick, fun, and cute card ... this is it!

I used a stamp from my Perennial Birthday Card Kit to add some little touches to the envelopes and to the insides of the cards.  Easy, fun project.  Hmmmmmm ... maybe we should make some of these together.  I like that idea.  I'm off to do a little stamping/resting/exercising/repeat/repeat/repeat.  That's my silly life right now.
