Crazy Fun Flirty Flamingo Work of Art Card

I used some odds and ends of old products from my 'stash' to add to all my SU goodies and created this super fun card.  This card features all the new In Colors --- on my artist palette.  I added Crystal Effects over each of the paint palette colors to give them dimension and some shiny goodness.
The text and the background speckles are embossed with gold EP.
I offset the top layer, just to give it some added interest and added a ribbon between the card layers.  In the close-up, you can see that I added ink and Crystal Effects to the tip of the brush to make it look liked it had been dipped into some of the paints.  I colored in the part of the brush between the handle and the bristles with a silver metallic marker.
This was super fun!

Dip, Dye, Emboss, Spritz and Glitz, Part 5

Did you even know you could emboss ribbons?  Well, you can!  Are you ready for 3 more technique pages?  Let's jump right in and see what else we can create with my techniques album.  Today is all about silver and gold and a bit of glitter glitz.

Page 11:
Embossed ribbon --- Stamp with Versamark Ink and emboss with Silver EP.  I've shown each ribbon using the design in opposite directions, just to give you more ideas of how it will look.  Our cotton ribbon is perfect for this technique!

Embossed ribbon --- Same technique as page 12 but with a different color of EP.
Stamp with Versamark Ink and emboss with Gold EP.  Again, I've shown each ribbon using the design in opposite directions, just to give you more ideas of how it will look.

Dip lower edge of ribbon into Crystal Effects.  Then dip into glitter.  This is messy, but fun... and pretty.
3 Glitter Clothespins:
Glitter/Crystal Effects / Black, Silver, Gold Glitter ---
Cover clothespin with Sticky Strip, dip into glitter and press glitter into the tape.  Coat with Crystal Effects and let dry overnight.  This keeps the glitter from flaking off the project.  I love the look!
Come back soon for part 6, as our series continues.

Embellished Clothespins

My post today is all about clothespins.  They are very handy and I use them a lot, kind of like I'd use binder clips or larger paper clips.  These are just more fun.  They need to look pretty, though, because that bumps up the fun a notch.
I've used our new DSP called Lullaby for the clothespins and the tag and then I sponged around the tag.  I used our Petite Petals punch and the flower from our Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for extra embellishments  I used Crystal Effects to attach the DSP.  After it dried, I added a protective coat over the top of the clothespins, to protect the papers.
Using white Baker's Twine, I made a little tassel for the tab.  Put this all in a little cello bag, add a cute little tag and ribbon with it and you've got a wonderful little gift for a special someone.
