Lotus Blossom Trio of Cards

I have a trio of cards for you today.  Please enjoy and then tell me which one you like the best.
The first card has DSP as a background layer and an embellishment on the inside of the card.  It features some of our gorgeous organza ribbon and some speckles from Gorgeous Grunge.
The extra layers of white add a lot to this card.
The second card features a layer that is spritzed with my Blackberry Bliss/Vanilla Smooch/alcohol mixture.
I added a tiny bit of spritz to the envelope, as well.
All the envelopes have a lotus blossom in the corner and a few Gorgeous Grunge speckles.
The third card in the trio features a trio of lotus blossoms and some gorgeous Blackberry Bliss Bakers Twine.  Don't try to say that too many times in a row:)
I added a strip of DSP to embellish the inside of this card, too.
So, now it's time to choose.  Which card in my trio do you like the best?

Gift Card Holder with Blackberry Bliss

Are you ready to see the last card we'll be making at my June 13 card class?  It's a card.  It's a gift card holder.  If you don't need to send a gift card, this one would look cute with a special message in the inside pocket and/or cash and/or a little photo... or maybe even a little treat!
The 'belly band' holds the card closed, so your gift card stays safely inside in its pocket.

Thinking of You

Today, I want to share yet another card we'll be making at my June 13 card class.  I really like this one.  It's very pretty, yet easy enough to create it.  The three tiny, punched flowers add so much to it.  There is a tiny pearl in the center of each flower.
This card features another of the techniques from my Ribbon Techniques Album.  It's super simple and yet bumps up the card a notch with the added detail.
Once again, I've added coordinating details with papers from our Moonlight DSP Stack.  The sentiment if from our Four You stamp set.
If you like using card templates to get your creative juices flowing, be sure to save this one.  It's a great design to keep in your file.

3 Squares Card

Are you ready for another fun card today?  We'll be making this one at my June 13 card class.  This one sports a lot of cute little details that are all quick and fun to do, not to mention more of our wonderful new In Color ribbons.  Take a look.
I've used the flower punch from our new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to punch a cute little flower in each square and then I added a rhinestone in the center of each one.  The squares and the top, smaller white layer of the card are popped up on dimensionals.
Tip:
Punch the flowers first.
Then punch out your squares.
The 3 ribbons are used as what we call Levi tags.  This is such a cute way to use one of the techniques from my Ribbon Techniques Album.  The 'Many Thanks' text is from one of our new photopolymer stamp sets called Another Thank You.  I love it!
I've used some of the papers from our Moonlight DSP Stack to decorate a coordinating strip on the inside of the card as well as the envelope flap.
Who wouldn't want to get this for a thank you?

Peek-A-Boo!

Here's another card we'll be making at my June 13 Friday Night Cards class.  It's a little bit of a peek-a-boo card.  Take a look.
I  used a special technique for the ribbons, from my Ribbon Techniques Album.  I tied the Blackberry Bliss ribbon around the card and then, before finishing the knot, I added a loop of Hello Honey ribbon.  This really adds a lot to the look of the card.
The giraffe is from our Zoo Babies stamp set.  The 'Hello' ticket is from Label Something.
I love how cute the giraffe looks peeking out of the window.  I cut the window with one of our oval framelits and then embossed the Hello Honey layer.  I love how it compliments the Blackberry Bliss.  I added a strip of DSP on the bottom of the inside of the card and then used a piece on the envelope flap, as well.
Tip:
Cut the oval window first and then emboss the top layer.  If you emboss first, the embossing gets flattened back down when you run it through to cut the window.

Work of Art with Vivid Vases

After enjoying a great time at my catalog Preview Party, I am sad to say that I am home today with a bum knee again.  I will be using lots of ice packs again today.  Let's talk stamping fun and take my mind off the pain.  Today, I have a card for you that uses two great stamp sets... Work of Art and Vivid Vases.
By using a stamp from Work of Art as a background color, I made this into a bit of an artsy card and lessened the amount of time I needed for coloring.  It's difficult to see, but there's a tiny touch of Dazzling Details on the center of the middle flower.
By adding an extra layer of CS under the white layer, it really changes the look of the card.  It might be a bit blah without the Hello Honey layer.  I also added texture and detail with an embossed strip under the vases and then wrapped the top two layers with white Baker's Twine.  The envelope flap has a layer of DSP to coordinate with the Hello Honey layer.  I love how it all turned out.

Let's Take a Look at My June Classes

With June just around the corner, let's take a look at my upcoming classes for June.  First up, let's look at my Monday Night Stampers class for June 2.  We'll be making an entire technique journal, doing just what the journal title says:  DIP, DYE, EMBOSS, SPRITZ AND GLITZ.  We'll be working with ribbons and several other elements that can be used to add some glitz and glam to your projects.

It's so much fun to experiment with different techniques.  After learning each one, we'll create a wonderful reference tool, by keeping samples of each technique in our journal.
Next up, is my Scraps and Prayers class for June 9.  We'll be making a photo block.  You can use this to show off a favorite card or photo.
We'll be using some of the new DSP from our brand new Moonlight DSP stack!
Last, but not least, is my Friday Night Cards class for June 13.  We'll be playing with all our new In Colors and making some really cute cards.

And.. if that's not enough fun for June, I'll also be holding my annual Open House/New Catalog Party on June 22.  I'll have all kinds of exciting new things to share with you then.  It will be a ton of fun!

Loving our New In Colors!

Before we get started today, be sure to look over on the left on my blog page and see sneak peeks for my next classes!  I really am loving our new In Colors!  They are rich and vibrant and gorgeous.  Today, I have some more fun projects I want to share with you that I've been doing with our new In Colors.  First of all, it was love at first sight when I saw our new In Colors ribbons.  They feel so silky smooth and are just beautiful.  I covered a piece of CS with a strip of each of our new In Colors ribbons.  After smoothing down all the strips of ribbon, I trimmed the layered ribbon piece to fit a couple of card projects I had in mind.
Then, I started to work on my first card.
The 'Hi' greeting comes from our new photopolymer alphabet called Metro Type Alphabet.   Because it's photopolymer, I could line up both letters on my clear block and stamp the word all at one time.
I added several layers to the front of the card, to pull together all the ribbon colors.  I added a decorative look to the inside of the card, as well, along with a coordinating flap on the envelope.  The striped DSP is from one of our new paper stacks, Moonlight.
Then, I stepped up the card for a nice, finished look.  Just adding 3 little flowers with pearl centers changes the entire look of the card.  The adorable little flowers are from our new trio of punches:  Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

So... I had more pieces left, after I cut the ribbon layered piece for my card.  What else could I make?
Come back for my next post and see another card I made with the ribbons layer.  I still have these little strips left.  What should I make with these???  Wouldn't you agree with me?  These new colors are yummy!!!
