Treat Bag Gift Card Holder

Here's another project for you that you can make to use for giving a check, cash or gift card.  It starts with one of our treat bags.
The 'card' that slips into the gift bag pocket actually has a pocket of its own, so you can place your gift card, check, or cash in it.  The clip helps hold everything securely.
Who wouldn't want to get this for a gift? :)

Christmastime Is Here Gift Card Holder

I've been out of commission a bit with a bum shoulder ... and a bit of technology problems.  Rest, prayers and patience do help.
I'm looking forward to class tonight.  I have a great group coming and great projects ready ...  so ... let the fun begin!
Today's project is a card ... a cash or gift card holder ... or a holder to include a Christmas letter and/or  photos to share with family and friends.  It's quick and easy, so you can make several to give.  We'll be making this one at my class tonight.
It has a coordinating envelope.
A pretty belly band holds it closed.

Here's the pocket inside.  I added a card, with room to write a little note.  You can then add photos, a check, cash or gift card.

Open House/Christmas Party, Project 2

Here's our second project we made at my party.  This one, as with my previous project, can be used for giving cash or a gift card ... or a special note ... to a special someone.
I made 2 versions of this project.  Each has a 'flagged' strip of DSP on the front, a greeting, and a cute little reindeer attached to a belly band, to hold it closed.
This project starts with a Crumb Cake envelope.  Score it at 2 7/8" and fold in half.
Open the flap and cut on the score line down to where it folds over to seal the envelope.
Fold down the left side and seal it shut.  Tuck the right flap inside the remaining open portion of the envelope.  You can add a piece of DSP to cover the closed side.  Decorate the inside however you'd like it to be.  The tag (and the cash or gift card) will slip into the open side.
These would be great to tuck into someone's Christmas stocking or place in a regular envelope and mail them to a special someone or two.

Open House/Christmas Party, Project 1 ... and our Party Prize Winners

We had so much fun at my Open House/Christmas Party yesterday.  It's always so much fun to visit and catch up with friends.  Everyone wanted to hear about our 'interesting vacation' and all.  One person said:  "Well, you'll always have these stories to tell.  Life is a series of stories."  I love that!  Life truly is a series of stories.

Here's the first project everyone got to make for their Make and Take projects.  Everyone really liked this one.
I've made these apron style cards before, but made them where you seal up the sides and just drop something in from the top, such as a packet of seeds for a garden themed card.  I decided to make this one open like an actual Christmas card.
The background stamp worked great to decorate the entire front of the card.
The little gingerbread man adds the perfect finishing touch.
Scroll on down to see my lucky prize winners from our party.

Double Pocket Gift Card Holder

I'm so happy to be back in the blog world after a horrible bout with a stomach bug of some sort.  I'll spare you the details.  Today, I have a gift card holder to share with you, along with news about many wonderful products that are soon to retire.
Here's my little double pocket gift card holder.
Score your bag 4" up from the bottom and fold, as shown.  It will create 2 pockets.  You can use this design with other sizes of bags, just by adjusting where you need to place your fold.
You can place Christmas greetings, a favorite photo, a small, flat treat, or a gift card in one or both pockets.  You're limited only by your imagination.
Now, for the news.
Stampin' Up! is trying something new this year --- putting out a list of what will soon to be retiring from our current Holiday Catalog.  If one of more of these items is on your 'wish list' --- PLEASE --- do not wait to order or it may already be sold out.
Here's a link to the retired list and to help you with your shopping.

Christmas Boutique Open House Projects, Part 3

Today's post is all about a envelope/card that can also hold a gift card... or cash!  I've used one of our Gift Card Enclosure Pack pieces to create a special gift for a special someone.  I've kept it simple, to have time to complete several projects during my Open House and you'll want to keep it simple so you have time to make several for several special someones.
So where did I get the tree?  It's punched from a tag I created for one of my next projects.  Come back soon to check it out.

Gift Card Holder with Blackberry Bliss

Are you ready to see the last card we'll be making at my June 13 card class?  It's a card.  It's a gift card holder.  If you don't need to send a gift card, this one would look cute with a special message in the inside pocket and/or cash and/or a little photo... or maybe even a little treat!
The 'belly band' holds the card closed, so your gift card stays safely inside in its pocket.

It's all about the cash ... or a check ... or ...

I've shared many gift card containers with you in the past and I'm sure I'll have more in the future as well.  It's fun to dress up a gift this way and makes it really special.  Sometimes, we have occasion to give cash, instead of a gift card.  Today's project is all about the cash.  This would work well for a check, too.  Thinking outside the box... wouldn't this be cute to use for a little coupon book for a special someone???  Can you think of other ideas to use with this card/holder?  I'd love to hear from you!

Instead of tying the ribbon, I pinched it together and tied a piece of white baker's twine around it.  It makes a great look and there is less bulk.
Tip:
When working with ribbon, cut the ends at an angle or in a 'v' to keep the ends from fraying and to give it a professional look.

A Pop N Cuts Gift Card Holder

In my last several posts, I've been bouncing back and forth between Halloween and Christmas so, today, I thought I'd jump to Fall / Thanksgiving.  Here's a look at a card for my Friday Night Cards / Sunday Afternoon Cards (Sept. 13, 15) classes.  It's made using our Pop N Cuts die.
I used our Crushed Curry Chevron ribbon in 2 different ways on this card.  Can you spot what I did?
This card opens to reveal another little card with a message.  You can add a gift card, too.  Who doesn't like getting a gift card inside a gorgeous card?
My plan for this card was to design a little something special for those times when you need a little more than just a simple thank you card.  You could easily change out the greeting to say Happy Birthday... or keep the greeting and just add a note of thanks inside.  It is versatile:)

Bill and I went antiquing a couple of times this last week.  I found a few goodies that I want to remake into special items for my Prairie Treasures booth at the Root Cellar.  I'll share later.  I think we'll stay in most of the day and keep cool.  Have a beautiful day and a blessed weekend.
