I've got a secret... on this card, that is!

Remember this cute Christmas tree card?  I want to share with you a little secret about it.  It has a Washi Tape secret.

I started with a piece of Whisper White CS, covered it with Washi Tape (diagonally) and then...
I embossed it!!!  I love how it changes the look of it all.  I used our square lattice embossing folder.  After that, I attached it to another layer of Whisper White, then a layer of Old Olive.  I attached it all to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

I used our oval framelits for the Christmas tree layer and a Cherry Cobbler mat behind it.  I topped it all off with a cute little bow.  You must give this technique a try.  I made it up myself and want to share it.  Now, go try it and see what you think.

Stamp-A-Stack Cards

I love making cards for Christmas.  I love planning the colors, choosing the stamps, choosing the embellishments, thinking about who gets each card... I love it all.  Whenever I design cards for a Stamp-A-Stack, I have to remember to keep it simple enough to make several of them quickly and yet still wonderful.  As you know, I sometimes love a challenge.  Would you like to see what we're making Sunday afternoon at my Stamp-A-Stack?  Take a look:

There will be 5 designs.  Everyone gets to choose how many of each that they'd like to make.  The more cards you make, the better price break you get and the more cards you'll have to share with others.

Sunday, October 27:
Stamp A Stack for Christmas / 3:00...
There will be 5 designs.
Choose how many of each you wish to make and pay your fee to register by Oct. 25.
Make   5 cards for $15. / 1 of each design
Make 10 cards for $25. / 2 of each design
Make 15 cards for $30. / 3 of each design
Make 20 cards for $35. / 4 of each design
Make 25 cards for $40. / 5 of each design

NOTE:
There will also be a Stamp A Stack for Christmas class on Sunday, November 24 / 3:00...

Let's take a closer look at the Cherry Cobbler cards today and we'll come back to the others in another post.

We'll stamp a message inside each card, as well as create a coordinating envelope.
I may or may not color in the tree later.  What do you think?

It's all about the cash ... or a check ... or ...

I've shared many gift card containers with you in the past and I'm sure I'll have more in the future as well.  It's fun to dress up a gift this way and makes it really special.  Sometimes, we have occasion to give cash, instead of a gift card.  Today's project is all about the cash.  This would work well for a check, too.  Thinking outside the box... wouldn't this be cute to use for a little coupon book for a special someone???  Can you think of other ideas to use with this card/holder?  I'd love to hear from you!

Instead of tying the ribbon, I pinched it together and tied a piece of white baker's twine around it.  It makes a great look and there is less bulk.
Tip:
When working with ribbon, cut the ends at an angle or in a 'v' to keep the ends from fraying and to give it a professional look.

A Little Christmas Treat for You

At my September Friday Night Cards Class, we made a Halloween treat holder for some gum (or a similar sized small treat).  It was a big hit, so I decided we'd make a Christmas version at my October 11 / 13 card classes.  Here's the Christmas version:

Using our new Envelope Punch Board, we'll be making our own coordinating envelope for this cute little guy.  It doesn't get much more coordinated than this:)

Let's take a look at it all!

I've been sharing with you some of the fun projects that we'll be making at my Holiday Stampin' Party / Open House (Sept. 7, 8).  Today, let's take a look at all the projects for you to enjoy.  You'll notice that I've planned a variety of projects for you, to give you the greatest opportunity to try some of our new goodies.

I hope you'll come by and join in on the fun.  If you cannot make it, I hope the projects I've shared will inspire you to get to work on your own holiday stamping projects.  By the way, if you need Halloween treats, the goodie bag shown above comes in a Halloween version, as well.  They're called Pumpkin Pie Goodie Gear.  Love the name!

Color Me Christmas / Color Me Super Cute

Isn't this little guy just stinkin' cute?  He's one of the images we'll be using on our projects today at my Stampin' Party / Open House.  With the gorgeous Season of Style DSP and the lined envelope, how can he NOT be cute?  Little cards like this are perfect for tags on gift packages, gift enclosures, or as ties on gift bags.

Gotta run now, but I'll be back with tons more to share with you.  I've had a super productive week and finished many of the projects that we'll be making in upcoming classes.  Also, I'll be sharing what's coming up for September.  As always, there's a lot of stampin' fun headed your way!
