Aaron's Brusho Creations

Recently, I had the pleasure of having my sweet Olive Jane come for a sleep-over.  The 2 older boys were here for the day as well.  Ben was busy with 'teenager things' but Aaron and Olive were eager for one of Nanna's projects.  They both love art and that makes my heart sing.  I told them we would make magic pictures.  I kind of think of using Brusho as working magic and this seemed like a good name for their projects.  I had some 12 X 12" watercolor paper and set them both up at my studio table.  I showed them how you could sprinkle on the Brusho and then spritz it with water.  Olive exclaimed:  "It is like magic."  I agree!  Soon, they were using it all by themselves.  They had so much fun ... and I did too!  Olive took all her creations home with her, but Aaron left his here to dry.  He also made some another day when his homework was done.  I took photos of all his creations.  I even framed one of them.  I just love them!

Country Home / Tin Tile Card

Today's card is another card just for the beautiful Fall season.  The weather here lately has been having a lot of fun with us.  You can dress like Fall in the morning, but the temperatures send you back to your closet for cooler attire as the afternoons heat up.  I just got some new clothes a few days ago, so I'm ready for cooler weather so I can enjoy my new duds.  After losing 35 pounds, it was fun to shop for smaller sizes.  My daughter took me to a new little boutique shop right downtown that has the cutest clothes ever.  It opened a little over a year ago, but I hadn't gotten to go anywhere for so long that I'd never been there.  After going through my many health issues of the past year, it was such a joy to get to go on an outing with her.  I will certainly be going back.

So, I hope you liked today's card and will come back for more inspirational ideas.  Now, go enjoy the beautiful day ... and ... maybe ... stamp a bit.

Happy Third Birthday to the Sweetest Little Toddler I Know

Today, I'd like to wish a big and happy day to Joey, my youngest grandchild.  He turned three today.  It seems like he was just born yesterday, but he has spent the past 3 years filling my life with absolute joy.  His smile melts my heart.  Here's a collection of some of my favorite photos of Joey.
He played baby Jesus at church his first Christmas.
Sleeping in Nanna's arms.
He woke up with a big smile for me.
Laughing for his mama.
A Halloween pumpkin.  I actually made this costume when Ben was this size.  All three boys have had a turn at being an adorable pumpkin.
Christmas.
He loves playing in his little wading pool.
He adores my Toby Joe.  I'm amazed at how much Toby puts up with at times like this.  He loves Joey right back.
He's always a happy boy playing at Nanna's house.  He loves his cars.  I have a similar pose of Aaron at this age, playing with Mega Blocks on this same table.
He is forever climbing into boxes, baskets, and even the bottom book shelf.
He felt a need to add some toys to my art supplies.
Size doesn't matter.  He climbs on in and makes himself fit.
Cookie Monster.
Love you more each day, my sweet little Joey.  Happy Birthday!
