Fancy Trimmed Gift Card Holder

Here's a quick and easy gift card holder with a fancy top edging, thanks to a border punch.  We'll be making some of these at my Wrapping up Christmas class this Friday night.

As you can see, I've used two different border punches.  You could also use one of our Edgelits to create a fancy top edging.  You can use this to hold a treat and a gift card.  The possibilities for decorating and embellishing the holders are endless.  Who wouldn't like to receive one of these?

a Message to my Friends...and More Snow Fun

My sharing for today ... more SNOW FUN!

I used the pine sprig stamp from Watercolor Winter to create a background for the snowman.  By using punches, I created an ornament effect, like he is hanging on the Christmas tree.  The ribbon is our Gumball Green stitched ribbon.  It is beautiful and so easy to work with on your projects.  My colors are Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler --- a perfect combo!  This is one of the cards we made at a recent event here in my studio.  Everyone loved it!

Snowman and Company

I love the little snowman from the No Peeking stamp set.  He's just stinkin' cute.  Here are the results of my playing in the snow with him.

As you can see, I've used circle punches and the Boho Blossoms punch to create a wreath around the opening.  I also made a shaker card version of this snowman.  It looks just the same except that it has white mica flakes and glitter inside a little treat cup over the opening.

 

I stamped snowflakes onto the background, using the Snowflake Soiree stamp set and then embossed the sentiment with our gorgeous Pewter EP.  The final touches:  a beautiful Cherry Cobbler bow and Cherry Cobbler accents with Dazzling Details.  It's like a glitter glue and super easy to use, not to mention --- no loose glitter all over the place.

Glimmer Snowman Card

We're having a series of gray days here, so I haven't been able to get a good photo for a sneak peek at the rest of the Friday 3-4-5 cards to share with you.  You'll just have to trust me that they'll be fun to make and come and join us.  They have layers of various colors, some for Christmas and some for other occasions.  I know you'll like them.

So, let's move away from the gray day and play in the snow.  Today, I have a glimmer snowman card for you.

I've used punches and the snowflake die and think this is a great way to show off my beloved Cherry Cobbler.  Who wouldn't love to get this little fellow for Christmas?
