A Project Life Album Project, Part 3

Today, I'll share the last of my album pages for my Project Life Album project.  I hope I can inspire you to go create one of your own.  You'll be glad you did.
I am so grateful to Ronda Wade, a fellow demonstrator, for sharing her faith and creativity with others.  She is an inspiration to us all.

After this last full-page spread, I have a lot of extra pages with just cards and even some blank journaling cards, so the recipient of my album can add whatever she'd like to add to it.   Inside the last page, I placed a bunch of extra punched pieces, so she can use those as needed for some extra embellishments.
Here, again, is my album... ready to go off in the mail to a special person.  I hope this blesses her and helps to uplift her spirits.

A Project Life Album Project, Part 2

Are you ready to see more of my Project Life album pages?  Let's jump right in and get started.  I've added a few punched pieces for simple embellishments.  The Scriptures have been cut to various shapes using framelits and thinlits.
I've used a few hearts, stars, flowers, and a lot of butterflies.

A Project Life Album Project, Part 1

One of the greatest joys of being an artist and paper crafter is being able to share the joy of it all with others.  With my recent project, I was able to do that ... big time.  I completed an entire album, too!  Let's get started taking a look at the first few pages and then I'll explain the story behind the album.
I chose to keep my album cover simple, with a nice ribbon around the cover.  Here's the cover page.
I left the next page blank, so a personal note could be added for the recipient to read and enjoy.  This left the first actual album page being a single page.
Now, we start with the full page spreads.
Each page has a few, minimal embellishments and a Scripture selection.
Now, I'll explain the purpose of this album.  It is one I made after signing up for a series of uplifting videos from Ronda Wade's series:  Creating for Christ.  I received 21 days of Scripture selections to study, along with a video talking about it.  The album goes along with the series.  When I shared with my daughter that I was doing this and really enjoying it all, she asked if I'd make a second album for a friend of hers who really needed some uplifting right now.  I immediately said that, when I was finished making it, she could have mine.  I got the joy of making it, while growing spiritually, and then the added joy of sharing it with another.  That's special to me.  I won't share her personal story, but I feel blessed that I can help someone who needs a little joy in her life right now.  Come back to see Part 2 with some more of my album pages.

A Little Hello

Here's a cute little card all ready to send a cheery 'hello' to a special someone.  I've used Tangelo Twist for my card base and a Project Life Journaling Card for the top layer.  The little flower is from our Nature's Perfection stamp set.  I stamped it twice and cut one out to attach on dimensionals, for added texture.  I stamped a few flowers onto the envelope, as well.
My color story is Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow and Whisper White ... clean, crisp, and fun.  This is a pretty easy card to make and it doesn't take a lot of time, either.  However, for the lucky someone who gets it in the mail, it will pack a big surprise.
I happened to be standing by the door as our Sanctuary Choir passed by on their way into the sanctuary last Sunday.  Three choir members stopped to give me a hug and thank me for a card they'd received in the mail this last week.  This made my day, for sure!  Snail mail is worth the time it takes to make and send a card.  It makes the sender and the recipient happy!  Have you sent any snail mail lately?  Please be sure you do.  It is always a perfect way to make someone's day.  Send some joy in the mail today.

A Journaling Card for A Card

Today, I'm sharing a card I made using a Project Life Journaling Card.  I love these little cards and they seem to come in handy for lots of things.  Today's card is in pretty Coastal Cabana.  I don't think I need any explanations here.  The photos kind of tell it all.  Enjoy!

Project Life Fun

Are you wondering what I've been making with my Project Life materials?  I'd like to share some of it with you today.  This is part of what we'll be doing at my February 21 Project Life class.  It's really fun to play with all the fun goodies that come with a Project Life Collection.
I'm working on ordering photos to add to my layout.  I've used some of the journaling cards (from the Collection) with the layout AND we'll also be making an additional set of journaling cards at the class... to use with future layouts that you can work on at home.  You could even save them and make cards with them.
You'll get a lot of important  and useful materials at the class which you'll just have to come to the class to see.  The class includes learning new ways to use our pocket pages and templates to use with your photos.  I think this will be a great class to get you going with using our Project Life Collections.
The Collection we're using is Happiness Is and the color story is:
Basic Gray
Blackberry Bliss
Hello Honey
Lost Lagoon
Sahara Sand
Tangelo Twist
Whisper White

What are we going to do in class?

I hear this question a lot from my customers as I get ready to give sneak peeks at upcoming classes.  What are we going to do in class?  I like to hear this question because it shows they are interested and excited about what's up next.  I've had even more questions about my upcoming Project Life classes.  The next one will be on February 21.  Here's a brief overview of what we'll be doing.

- Learn what Project Life is all about and how it works.
- Compare various styles of scrapbooking and the best ways to use them.
- Create 6 page templates to use with your photos at home AND learn how to use them.
- Create 3 photo templates to use with your photos at home AND learn how to use them.
- Create several journaling cards, complete with simple and cute little embellishments.
- Create 1 complete layout (2 pages) using 12 x 12" Project Life pocket pages.
- Learn how to go on from here... what goes on the back of the pages...

We'll be using cards (and colors) from our Happiness Is Collection.
The class fee ($25.) includes all materials except your adhesive... and your photos, of course.

I hope this helps to get you excited about joining us for this class.  My class size will be limited to 6, so sign up early if you'd like to take this class.  If you are unable to attend but would like a kit, please pay to register by the class deadline, let me know that you need a kit, and I will prepare one for you.
Above, I've used some of my PL cards to create a fun banner.
Below, this is how I have organized my PL collections, with cards and accessory packs.
Below, this is how I label my PL boxes, to remind me what Washi Tape is in the accessory packs and what colors coordinate with all the cards.  This is the Happiness Is Collection.
We will be using these cards and colors at the Feb. 21 class.
