A Few Cards to Share with You

Today, while I continue sorting my photos and recouping from our trip, I have some cards to share with you.  These are 2 that were made for a special order --- 'must have bling and music' and were for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.  Enjoy!

Would you believe it?  I got the treble clef paper clip at Staple's!  I thought it added the perfect touch.

Now, would someone please slap me awake?  It seems like it's taking a loooonnnnnnng time to snap back into gear.  Maybe I'm suffering from shock from all the fabulous things we saw and did at Convention.  I plan to work all day in my studio.  We'll see how that works out for me:)  Have a good day and thanks for stopping by!

One More Lucky Green Card

Lucky you!  I have one more lucky green card for you today.

This card follows the same template and uses the same technique as in yesterday's post.  If you missed it, the technique is called Faux Diamond Dust.

By changing the color and design of the DSP, you can see how it changes the mood of the card.

I have the coordinating envelope, as always.  I think, overall, it is a happy card and deserves to proudly enjoy the wearin' of the green.

Faux Diamond Dust ... and...Happy Birthday, Ben!

My oldest grandchild is nine years old today.  In honor of Benjamin, here's a little more green for you, with a touch of sparkle.  Ben adds a lot of sparkle to my life!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful grandson.  Where does the time go that he can be nine already?

Here's a close-up of the sparkle:

The technique used to create the sparkle is called Faux Diamond Dust.  It's really easy and produces WOW results every time.

Here's how you do it:
  • Stamp your image, as I've stamped the shamrock.
  • If you're going to use a punch to create a particular shape, punch it now.
  • Cover the entire stamped piece with VersaMark ink.
  • Sprinkle on Iridescent Ice EP and heat emboss it until it turns slightly darker and really sparkles.
  • Do not overheat or you'll lose some of the sparkle.
  • That's it!  It's just that easy.

Here's the card I made.  As you can see, it's a slightly stepped up version of the card in my previous post.  As always, I've stamped a coordinating envelope, too.  The DSP is from the Print Poetry little pack of fabulous papers.

I'm off to go wrap Ben's presents now.  It should be a fun day.  I plan to do a little birthday celebrating with him and a little stamping in my studio.  Yesterday, I made some really fun bunny projects.  I'll be sharing those soon.

St. Patrick's Day Note Card

With St. Patrick's Day almost here, I thought I'd better post some green for you.  Here is a little note card we made at my last Friday 3-4-5 Card Buffet Class.

3 shamrocks are stamped directly onto the note card.  An additional shamrock is stamped and then cut out, so it can be adhered with dimensionals.  The envelope was also stamped with a shamrock on the lower left corner and one on the back flap.

Using our note cards, you can always come up with a quick and cute card.  Come back tomorrow to see a stepped up version of this card.  Have a great day!
