What's Inside My Decorative Tins?

Are you ready to see what's inside the tins?  Here you go!
I 'decorated' some chocolates to place inside, along with a coordinating round card.  I let Aaron take one to school for his teacher.  Her birthday is next week.  He wrote the cutest message inside and added a darling little drawing.
I've had these wonderful tins in my 'stash' for so long that I can't even remember where I got them.  I knew they'd make great gifts and I love how they turned out.  The DSP was perfect for this project.
I'd love it if you'd leave a comment and suggest other ideas for what could go inside the tins.

Decorative Tins with Surprises

If you remember reading some of my earliest posts for 2017, you may recall that I've been trying to use up and enjoy some of my 'stash' of goodies, instead of hoarding it and just taking up storage space.  I made a bunch of these for a Vendor Booth I hosted recently.  I had a few left and my husband came to me needing some thank you gifts for his fellow actors from a play they all put on at the Oglesby Mansion.  They had sessions running for a week ... all for any area classes of 5th graders who signed up.  I'm so glad I had something he could give them as a thank you.  A simple gift like this becomes a BIG thank you and is as much fun to give as it is to make.

Would you like to see what's inside?  Well, come back for my next post and I'll share.

Oh So Succulent Layout

Today's layout was inspired by the card I shared recently.  Click here to see the card.  I really like how this one turned out.  As with my dragonfly layout, it's very nature themed.
There are stamped flowers and cut flowers.
I did a little soft sponging here and there and added touches of Wink of Stella.

My Cute Little Notebooks

As I've mentioned in a couple of previous posts, I've been working to use up and enjoy my 'stash' of favorite goodies and not hoard them.  Next up, were some of our cute, little retired notebooks.  Yes, I'd hoarded a few of those.  With 2 new papers that I just love, I thought it was the perfect time to get out the notebooks and decorate them.  I love these little guys.
I made 2 with our Succulent Garden DSP ...
... and 2 with our Falling in Love DSP.  These papers are just absolutely yummy.
Now ..... what could I use up next from my stash?  I am proud to say that my storage room is all neat, tidy and organized and not overcrowded.  I've cleaned out a lot and will pass it on to someone that needs it more than I do.  That makes me a happy camper.  It is a huge and wonderful storage room and I am so blessed to have it.  It keeps all the excess supplies out of my studio when I'm not using them.  In case you're wondering, I'm a very messy stamper when I'm in creative mode and I have out a million things, but I always know where everything is and I always clean up before and after each and every big creative storm.  I'm about half-way into a creative storm right now, so look out!

A New Coaster Calendar

I haven't made coaster calendars for a long time and decided that our new Succulent Garden DSP would be really great for this project.  If you're wondering about the ribbon I used and thinking you've seen it recently in some of my other projects, it's a free S-A-B choice.  You get 2 rolls of this woven ribbon --- one with shiny gold accents and one with shiny silver accents.  It's really pretty!
There's a magnet on the back of my coaster calendar, so I can put it up on the fridge if I want to do so.
