Get ready for the New Catalog!

The new catalog goes live June 1!  I cannot wait!  You will love the new look and new products!  Come to my Open House on Sunday afternoon, June 3 (2:00-5:00) and check out some great new products, have some refreshments, make a project, enjoy some inspiring new displays and demonstrations of new products, visit with friends and earn some Stampin' Bucks.
The Stampin' Bucks Store opens at 5:00.  Anyone with Stampin' Bucks can shop in this exclusive store!  I'll have more info on this soon.  In the meantime, if you've already signed up for the next round of Hostess Scrapbook Club, then you've already earned a bunch of Stampin' Bucks.  Yay for you!!!

Here's a peek at some more projects made with new products coming out soon:
I love the Summer Smooches Product Suite.  It's so bright and cheerful

Here's a close-up of an easy way to add extra color to your card.  Before you tie a little knot bow, add in a sprig of a second color of ribbon.  I actually attach these with a dot of Liquid Tombow adhesive.  It really holds on the ribbon.  Clamp or hold it in place until it starts to dry and it will stay put for good.

This last cute little card was made by my daughter when she was here visiting recently.  Isn't it just adorable?  It's so cute and simple...and fun!
...and I'm off again to get back to my studio.  My next sneak peek will have some new papers and new stamps, so be sure to check back soon.

Even More Big News:

Before I get back to work in my studio, here's another look at some Summer Smooch projects:
This is the same memo board that I'd used with the S-A-B Everyday Enchantment products.  This time, I covered it with Summer Smooches DSP and made my own magnets using the fabric brads.  I glued them to punched circles and then to the magnets, after cutting the legs off the brads.  Poor little guys.  It only hurt for a minute.
This cute little teacup card was in with one of my demonstrator orders.  Someone from the home office at Stampin' Up! made it.  How sweet to get this in with my other goodies!  It's just one more reason why I love Stampin' Up!
The flowers were made from Summer Smooches DSP and the flower punch.  They are double sided.  Some feature buttons (from the Brights collection) which are attached by 'sewing' them with a needle and white Baker's Twine.  Others feature more of the fabric brads.  They are adding a nice touch of Spring to my studio.
Be sure to check out my Product Share, so you can get in on some of the Summer Smooches products.
As always, click on my class schedule board for complete details on each class and event.

Check out some great new classes!!!

I've added some super fun new classes for May and June.  Click the class schedule sign board on the left to see ALL classes.

Before we go any further, I wanted to show you an adorable card that my daughter made for me.  She used the Summer Smooches products.

Isn't this the cutest card ever!  I love the bright and cheery look of the Summer Smooches products.  She used the little oval frame embossing folder for the focal piece.

Here's a peek at new classes for May.

Retirement Party! MAY 4  6:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Central)
No, I'm not retiring from Stampin' Up! but a lot of great products are.  We will make 10 cards for $15. with soon to be retired products.  Some may be 3-D projects.   Please pay ($15.) to register at least 2 days prior to the class.  Class fee includes all materials except your adhesive.  Place an order with me of $25. (before tax and shipping) and take the class absolutely FREE!

Leftover Party! MAY 11  6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Central)
Get ready for a super fun evening!  This class will be totally unique from any you've ever taken with me!  This will be a 15-4-10 event!  You'll make 15 cards for just $10.  There's a twist to it, though.  You have to come up with your own designs for your cards.
I'll provide:
Leftover card stock, DSP, embellishments, ribbons, stamps AND the card bases with envelopes.
You'll provide:
Your own adhesive, ideas and designs.
I will have stations for cutting, punching and using the Big Shot.
But wait!  There's more!!!  There will be a contest judge here for the evening.  He will choose the winners from a series of categories.  At 8:30, I'll have you start wrapping up your work.  Then, we'll have each person set out the card they like the best from all they've made.  The judge will then come down and choose the winners!  There will be prizes, light snacks and loads of fun!  Come join us!!!
Even more fun!
Place an order with me of $25. or more (before tax and shipping) and take the class absolutely FREE!!!

Scrap Fest Extravaganza! MAY 19  9:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Central) With May being National Scrapbooking Month, I thought this would be a good time to add one big day of scrapbooking.  Kits will be $5.00 each!!!  Make as many as you would like!

You must pay to register ($10.) at least 2 days in advance / minimum fee is $10.00.
You may purchase additional kits when you're here.

Saturday Morning Brunch Bunch MAY 19  9:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Central) May is National Scrapbooking Month so, at this month's Brunch Bunch, we'll make 1 complete layout, a paper bag scrapbook and a mini album.  Class fee includes all materials to make your projects (except your adhesive). Pay ($22.) to register at least 2 days prior to each class.

As you can see, I'm combining 2 events in one day. You may sign up for BOTH events for just $30.00!!! You may stay and make additional layouts for just $5.00 each. It's nothing but fun!!!  Because of the slight change in the Brunch Bunch schedule, we'll have light snacks available all day instead of a brunch.
Get ready for a super fun day of scrapbooking!

A Little Birdie Told Me

Here's another look at a card for my Friday 3-4-5 class tomorrow night.  I should just show you a peek, but he's so cute that I have to share all of this one.
I wish the photo was a little better, but I'm really struggling with my camera.  I am thinking that I may just need to break down and get a new one.  Geez!  Anyway, in the meantime, I can tell you that he is even cuter in real life.

The stamp set is one of my all-time favorites --- Best of Everything.  The strip of DSP is from the Summer Smooches collection.  The real red and daffodil delight look so bright and cheerful against the white background!

The cute little bird is colored in with markers (color, huff and stamp) and then punched out with a 1 1/4" circle punch and attached (with dimensionals) to a 1 3/8" circle punch.  I colored in the eye with the tiny point of the marker, after stamping.

Well, I'm off to work out more on my new treadmill --- lovin' it so much!!!  Then, it's back to work in my studio.  Life is good:)

More Smooches, Please!

Here is another card I made with the Summer Smooches products.  I love the bold, vivid colors!  They are perfect for this time of year.  The card base if the gorgeous Lucky Limeade.

This card features a fabric covered brad (available in April only!!!) as an over-sized flower in the vase.  I thought it added a touch of drama and humor, because of its size.
I used markers (color, huff, stamp) to stamp the vase, stem and leaves.  The Island Indigo ribbon adds a nice touch to the card over the vivid DSP.  The Lucky Limeade ribbons are tied onto the Island Indigo ribbon.  It's a fun (and super easy) way to add touches of coordinating colors to your project.  There were no punches or dies used in this card and yet it was fun, quick and simple.

I'm off to create up a storm in my studio today.  I'm still playing 'catch-up' from enjoying a long visit from my boys and then having Olive Jane here Saturday.  Is there anything better than enjoying grandchildren?  Yes, actually there is!  I'll be sharing in a future post how the boys and I enjoyed some long sessions of together time AND stamping fun.  It's a hoot!

A Project from our Team Meeting + Class Info

Here's another project we made at our Team Meeting:

The gingham check effect is done by inking the stripes embossing folder with a brayer and using  2 colors of ink.  It's easiest to have 2 folders - 1 per ink color - to do this project.
I love this little vase from the Bright Blossoms stamp set!  You can get the stamp set, the Summer Smooches stencil, brads and DSP during the month of April only.  After that, the brads and stencil are gone and you won't see the other products until June!

Don't forget about my Friday 3-4-5 class this Friday, April 20.
It's starting to fill up fast, so be sure to sign up soon!  You can make 3, 6 or 9 cards at '3 cards for $5.'  It's a great way to have a little evening out with your friends and go home with some fun, new cards.  Envelopes are included.  Pay to register by April 19!!!

Saturday, April 21 is my Saturday Morning Brunch Bunch.
We'll be making beautiful Spring/Summer wreaths.
Remember this one we made at a previous class?
Our Spring/Summer Wreaths will have flowers and butterflies and you'll have a choice of DSP designs for your wreath.

Here are the available DSP choices:
Spice Cake (like wreath shown in above photo)

From the large Idea Book & Catalog:
