A Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose ... Version 2

Are you ready for my second card and mini tutorial today?  Let's jump right in and get creating.  There's good news about this one.  If you've already made my first card, you'll be partly finished with the second one - without even realizing it:)  Here is today's card and one last shot at both of them.
Actually, both of the cards are easier than you'd think to make them.
Mini Tutorial:
- Start with the die cut piece you used for the stencil on the first card.
- It will already have some color one it.  Sponge on more as needed.
- Let ink dry thoroughly.
- Pat VersaMark Ink all over your die cut piece.
- Heat emboss with Clear EP.  Let cool.
- Repeat last 2 steps if you'd like a heavier coating.
- This will look like enamel when finished.
- Attach your rose with leaves to the front of your card.
- Complete your card as you wish.
- Hold them both out at arm's length and admire:)  Smile.  You did it!
I like the variation in the coloring of the die cut piece.  It makes it look more artistic.
I really hope you'll try both of these cards ... and be sure to let me know which one you liked the best.  I think I change my mind each time I look at them:)

Party Winners / A Glittery White Snowflake Card

I had this idea in my head that I wanted to use our new snowflake embossing folder (Winter Wonder TIEF) and have a clean, white card ... but I wanted my snowflake to sparkle.  So... I got out my retired Iridescent Ice EP and went to town.  I embossed the snowflake on our Thick White CS, which, by the way, gave me a super impression.  Then, I gently covered the raised part of the snowflake with VersaMark Ink, covered it with my embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  It came gorgeous but, alas, I can't fully capture the beauty in a photo.
Whenever I create an all white or nearly white card, I like to add a layer to the card base.  It really bumps up the elegance of a card to have another layer.  For this one, I put it on with dimensionals.
This is a really big snowflake!  I love it!
So there is my beautiful all white card.  Keep scrolling and you'll find out my party winners.  I think everyone enjoys this game.  I know I enjoy reading the answers.

Gorgeous Grunge Dragonflies, Card 1

We're heading back to some more fun with dragonflies for my next couple of posts and then I'll share some more stenciling ideas.
My color story is a beautiful Wisteria Wonder and Marina Mist ... perfect for our soon to come Spring.  I used a little technique for this one, where you ink the background stamp you're going to use, spritz it lightly with water, and stamp.  I then cleaned my stamp, repeated the same process with a second ink color and then waited for it to dry.  I went back and added just a few tiny speckles of black to really bring it to life.  I stamped the text in black also, to pull it all together.

I created a coordinating envelope and card interior, as well.  The dragonflies were cut from CS, covered in Marina Mist ink and then let dry.  Once they dried, I patted on VersaMark ink and heat embossed them with Iridescent Ice EP (retired).  They have a beautiful sparkle.  I love how this one turned out.

Embossed Copper Letters/ With Tutorial

As promised, I'm sharing my tutorial today for embossing letters with Copper EP.  It's fun and it's easy and I hope you'll try it.

Usually, when I emboss something small, I lay the piece in a small (for embossing only) cake pan.  This time, I wanted to try to emboss all the letters with a quicker and easier plan.  What I came up with was to add a tiny bit of adhesive to the back of each letter and attach them to a scrap of CS.
Then, I patted down each letter with my VersaMark ink pad.
I then sprinkled my Copper EP over all the letters.  A small amount will fall around the letters and stick there.  I just left it and didn't worry about it.
I heat embossed all the letters and then gently pulled them off the scrap CS.  They came off quite easily.
Aren't they beautiful?  Here's my Fall banner again.
