Jumping Back In... my Gorgeous Winter Wreath

After the very unexpected death of my husband's sister and the events following that, it's hard to know where to begin, so I'll just jump right in and start by showing you the gorgeous Winter Wreath I made just before all these events.  I absolutely love it.  It's based on the one in our big catalog.  Of course, I had to put my own take on it, to make it truly mine.

I added lots more ribbon because I just love ribbon.  I added subtle sponging and lots of silver glimmer paper.  I also changed out the Soft Sky (used on the wreath in our big catalog) for Pool Party.  The reason I did this is so that it would coordinate with the Joy Banner we'll be making at my Christmas Retreat --- on November 16 (10:00-4:00) or November 17 (2:00-8:00).  They will look great decorating your home for Christmas.

So, what do you think?  You'd be amazed at how easy it is to make it.  We'll be making this one at my November Stamp Club on November 4.  The beauty of doing something like this in a class is that I prepare everything for you and you just show up and dig in.  You'll have a beautiful wreath for the holidays by the end of the class.  It involves a lot of materials but, by sharing them in a club, it cuts down on the expense for each person and you don't have to worry if you don't have a tool or die needed to make the project.

Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous Fall Wreath!

I don't know when I've had so much fun putting together a project as when I made this gorgeous wreath.  While we're waiting to hear from family on memorial service arrangements, I'm trying to get my class schedule back on track.  First, I want to show you my wreath.
Isn't this gorgeous?   This is my version of the one in the catalog.  This is what we'll be making at our September Stamp Club.  The deadline for signing up for the September Club was to be today.  Because of the death in our family and the huge changes to my schedule this week, I am extending that deadline.

The new deadline to sign up will be August 27.  The $45. fee includes ALL materials you will need to make this gorgeous wreath AND you will go home with a few extra supplies.

This wreath will coordinate beautifully with the Blessings Banner we will be making at my Blessings and Banners class on October 23.  I'll be sharing more on this class very soon.  I really hope you will sign up for this super fun class.

Here's a close-up of the little banner at the bottom of the wreath.
Other news:
My new date for my Holiday Stampin' Party will actually be 2 choices of dates.
Saturday, September 7, 2:00-5:00
OR
Sunday, September 8, 2:00-5:00

Because life gets in the way sometimes and changes all our best-laid plans, we have to make the most of it all.  I figure my new party dates will just be that much better because I'll have even MORE projects to show you by then.

Coming soon:  What's up for September, besides making this gorgeous wreath, of course.  Come back soon and check it out.
Before I go, I'd like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the uplifting messages, thoughts and prayers for our family.  Bill's sister was younger than he and had suffered a ton of health problems.  We thought she was doing better, but God had other plans.  Once again, my mother-in-law, at the age of 90 has shown us strength and grace in times of sorrow.  She is amazing and my heart breaks for her now.  Thank you again for your love and support.

Let Stampin' Up! Products Help You Create A Party!

Today is Olive Jane's birthday party and her mom and I have kind of a tradition going of getting together and making all her party decorations.  Olive Jane is all about Minnie Mouse right now, so that's our theme.  Years ago, I learned from a fellow church member that, once you do something for two years in a row, it becomes a tradition.  We're there now!

Using Big Shot dies and circle punches, it was easy to come up with our decorations.
We've had a lot of rain and/or wind here lately, so I had to shoot these inside.  I realize that I forgot to take a photo of the birthday hat and the thank you, so I'll have to post those later.
These are the favor boxes.  They will have treats in cello bags inside them.
The banner is held together with dotted ribbon pieces between each circle.  It will hang from the window (curtain rod) behind the party table.
It should be a really fun party.  Can you keep a secret?  We're giving her a big wagon for her birthday.  Shhhhhhh!
