Getting Your Sparkle On ..... Final Part (14) ..... with a Tutorial

Let's wrap up this 'sparkle' series with one final way to add gorgeous sparkle to your cards and projects.  This is creating with the dryer sheet technique.  If you really want to get your sparkle on, this technique will do it.

Here's my dryer sheet technique:
1.  Choose a DSP that will show up under your dryer sheet.
2.  Spread glue stick adhesive (Stamp' Glue Stick) over the entire sheet of DSP.
3.  Quickly lay dryer sheet over it, press down lightly.  (Use a used dryer sheet.)
4.  Sprinkle on Dazzling Diamonds Glitter while glue is still wet.
5.  Tap off excess.
6.  Trim off edges and attach a border over it or you can wrap edges of dryer sheet around to the back and secure it.

That's it!  It's that simple.  I hope you've enjoyed my little series on Getting Your Sparkle On.  Let me know if you have any comments or questions.  I'd also like to hear from you if you have any suggestions for a future mini series and/or possible tutorials.
Click here to see a previous card project using this technique.  For this one, I used a stamped image instead of DSP.

Getting Your Sparkle On, Part 13

As we begin my next to the last post in this little mini series, I have a project for you using our Foil Sheets.  I don't know if they qualify as fitting the 'sparkle' theme, but they are certainly shiny.  I've added them to a card that is covered with sparkle, so this one gets to play, for sure:)
I left off the sentiment, for now, until I decide if I need it for a congrats or a birthday card.  It would be great for either.
Instead of stamping on the inside of the card, I added more shiny stars, cut with our tiny star punch.
If you're wondering about the background, this card uses the dryer sheet technique.  I've had several requests for a tutorial on this technique, so come back for my next post and I'll have the tutorial for you, along with another dryer sheet card.  See you then!

Gorgeous Dryer Sheet Technique

I have a super favorite card to share with you today.  I love this technique because it is pretty easy and so much fun!  We'll be making this one at my Nov. 21 Christmas Retreat, as well as the other sneak peek cards shown on the left of my blog page.
Of course, you have to see it in real life, to see how beautiful the glitter shimmer is on it.  The camera (or photographer) just cannot seem to capture it well enough to do justice to how beautiful it really is.
It makes me feel like we're in the middle of a blizzard.  I have another wonderful technique to share with you in one of my next posts, so be sure to come back and check it out.  Oh, and to be clear about this ... I do NOT like winter ... I just love seeing photos of it, like this one:)
