AN EASEL CALENDAR FOR THE NEW YEAR

I've enjoyed making lots of calendars and decided to go with an easel style for 2021.  I love all the colors in our new Hydrangea Hill Suite, so decided to go with some luscious purples for this project.  

The top layer is just a 1/4 sheet of CS.  It's attached as shown.  When you fold it flat, it's just a regular card size and fits in an envelope, if you choose to mail it to a friend.

The vellum adds an extra element of texture.  The little clips are just for fun.

I started with a half sheet of CS - 8 1/2 X 11" and scored it at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2" and folded it as shown in the photo.

For my grand finale, I have a set of 5 Flowering Foils cards to share with you.  I used a different embossing folder on each one.  I love the layers.  The color stories are Blackberry Bliss, Rococo Rose, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, and Calypso Coral.  I can't decide which is my favorite.

Now, before we say goodbye to all the Flowering Foils cards, I will tell you that, of all the many cards I made with this DSP, this one is my all-time favorite.  I love the soft colors.

Pretty Peacock and Flowering Foils

Flowering Foils: Bermuda Bay Flowering Foils Trio

I made a bunch of Flowering Foils DSP cards before my shoulder got so bad. Here's one of my favorites.

I fussy cut the flowers and layered them with dimensionals. 

It's a little tricky getting this into an envelope, but it works.
