Dandy Garden Memories and More Cards

Sometimes you need a quick card - like right now - yet you still want it to be really pretty.  Here's an idea to help you.  Use some of our Memories and More cards and envelopes and pair them with some pretty DSP that coordinates.  I used a layer to highlight the DSP and then chose our Dandy Garden DSP, some pretty ribbon, and our darling Ladybug Trinkets.  The birthday text is stamped on a Stitched So Sweetly die cut piece.  I added a little strip of ribbon for an extra bit of cute.  I love these cards.  The 2 cards you see here are actually the same sheet of DSP.  I liked both sides and wanted to share both ways with you.  All I changed was the choice of ribbon.  The envelope flaps are stamped, as well as the front of the envelopes.  These are some of the prettiest we've had yet.  I've already pre-ordered a new set from our next catalog.  They are gorgeous, too!

A Trio of Butterfly Projects

Let's dive into some really fun Spring projects today with a trio of butterfly creations.  Enjoy!

I made a card, a gift box and a gift bag.  If you have a special someone who would love some beautiful gift packaging with a coordinating card, this is it.

By the way, our butterfly papers are all sold out, but if you still have some, please note that I die cut the butterflies for all 3 projects from just one sheet.

I actually made several versions of butterfly cards, so be sure to check back to see those, too.

Come back soon for more creative inspiration!

AN EASEL CALENDAR FOR THE NEW YEAR

I've enjoyed making lots of calendars and decided to go with an easel style for 2021.  I love all the colors in our new Hydrangea Hill Suite, so decided to go with some luscious purples for this project.

The top layer is just a 1/4 sheet of CS.  It's attached as shown.  When you fold it flat, it's just a regular card size and fits in an envelope, if you choose to mail it to a friend.
The vellum adds an extra element of texture.  The little clips are just for fun.
I started with a half sheet of CS - 8 1/2 X 11" and scored it at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2" and folded it as shown in the photo.

I have a quick and easy card for you coming up next.  Be sure to come back to check it out.

Happy Stamping!

A COUPLE OF CUTE PROJECTS - A NOTEBOOK AND A GIFT BOX

I created 2 quick and easy projects for my January class kit.  We decorated a composition notebook and a little gift box.  I used more of our Sale-A-Bration DSP - Flower and Field.  I love all the bright, springy colors.  Whenever you cover a notebook, if you can find one that has a spine color the same as one of the  colors in the DSP, you can avoid covering the spine, which doesn't always attach as smoothly.  It will wear better, too.  For this notebook, the DSP is 9 3/4 X 6 3/4".  Run a strip of adhesive all the way down the front, next to the spine, line up the DSP there and then lift and add more adhesive to cover the rest of the front (or back).  When the adhesive has set, round the corners with a sanding block (like used for manicures).

The DSP for the matchbox gift box is 10 X 4 1/8" and wraps around the outside of the box.  Start at the side, apply adhesive and smooth down the DSP.  Move to the next section of the box and proceed the same way, one section at a time.  The belly band is 1 1/4 X 10".  Adding a ribbon around it helps hold it all in place securely.  I love these little boxes because they hold quite a lot.

In my next post, I'll be sharing a fun easel style calendar.  Be sure to come back and check it out.

Poppies and Watercolor

I've been really sick for the last few days ... head ... chest ... stomach ...  I'm still struggling to breathe.  Ugh!  I'll spare you the details.  Fortunately, I had several posts ready to go.
Thanks to dies, DSP and a splash of watercoloring, this is an easy card to create.
