Five Days of Dapper Denim, Day Three

Here's a favorite of mine, using Dapper Denim and a simple embossing technique.  I've sponged over the embossing --- gently --- with White Craft Ink, to make the beautiful design really stand out.
Adding some of our gorgeous ribbon always gives a nice touch.  I've chosen to treat the dimensions of the top layers a little differently for this card.  I really like the look.
The greeting nestles perfectly between the two sections of the embossing.  Add a little rhinestone bling and call it finished.  I really like how this one turned out.

A Cherry Cobbler Valentine

Here's a quick post before I start my Winter Scrap and Stamp Retreat.  (It's going to be soooo much fun!)

What could be more delicious than using Cherry Cobbler for a Valentine's Day card?

I've used a lot of layers and a touch of embossing.  I've stamped and embossed the coordinating envelope, then added a 'sprig' of Cherry Cobbler seam binding for the finishing touch.  I think it would be fun to be on the giving or receiving end for this card.

Have a great day and a great weekend.

More about Dyeing

Here's another card I made using some of the flowers I dyed.  See yesterday's post for complete details on how to do it.

I used our Adorning Accents embossing folder to emboss the hearts along the envelope flap.
Tip:
Use a square punch to cut a 'v' at the bottom of the 'flag' strip of DSP.  It's really quick and easy.

I've used a tag from the Pop-up Posies kit and a stamp from Vintage Verses (available during Sale-A-Bration).  I attached the dyed rose with Liquid Tombow.  I added one of our cute little clips (Elements) from our Spring Catalog.

If you look closely, you can see that I embossed an accent row under the DSP, using the new Borders Scoring Plate.  All in all, it was a fairly quick card to pull together, thanks to wonderful accents to dress it up.

In my next post, I'll show you even more about dyeing and how to make a flower with our Floral Frames framelits.

February and March Pages... and My 600th Post!

Wow!  As I logged on today, I realized that this will be my 600th post on my little blogspot.  It's been fun and I hope you've found some inspiration and ideas for your own crafting projects.  For today, I have my next 2 calendar pages ready for you.  Enjoy!
For the February page, I used the new Hearts a Flutter stamp set and framelits.  In the background, I used the large heart from the You Are Loved stamp set.  I embossed across one little part on the light pink strip, using the Adorning Accents embossing folder.

For the March page, I used the Postage Due stamp set.  On the yellow strip, I used some stamps from the Feeling Sentimental stamp set.  This set will be available during our annual Sale-A-Bration, from January 22-March 22.  This is the fabulous time of year when you can earn a free S-A-B product for every $50. you spend.  If you're on my mailing list, you should have received a little catalog in the mail from me, showing all the products available for your choices.

I had sooooooo much fun with my ladies at our Hostess Scrapbook Club last night.  We made a Valentine's Day layout and a coaster calendar.  I will be posting these soon so you can see what we made.  I'll be starting a new round of scrapbook club on March 4.  Contact me ASAP if you would like details about joining us.  It's super fun!!!

I'm off to spend a delightful day creating away in my studio.  I have a 2-day chunk of time to really crank up my creative juices, so I'm super excited to work ahead on some class projects, personal projects, and more items to put into my Prairie Treasures booth at the Root Cellar.  Things are going great in my booth and it's keeping me pretty busy adding fun new items.
