Kaleidoscope Treats

Today I'll share my Kaleidoscope Treats.  I call them this because they're decorated with our Kaleidoscope DSP and coordinating colors of CS.  I've used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry.  Things couldn't look much brighter or happier!  They're wrapped in gold and white Bakers Twine.  Each has a delicious treat inside:)  Take a look.

Come back soon for more projects using the Envelope Punch Board.  I've been working on quite a few --- so much fun!!!  Before you go, here's a sneak peek at some projects I'll be sharing soon.  These were unbelievably addictive!

Have a great day and go stamp something beautiful.

Artistic Inspiration from a Photo

Subject matter doesn't get much better than a photo of my sweet Olive Jane.  Her sassy little outfit inspired this project I created.  I changed up the shades of the colors a bit, but the photo was truly my starting point.

My color story:
  • Night of Navy
  • Blushing Bride
  • Marina Mist
... and, of course, a coordinating envelope with Blushing Bride liner from the Subtles DSP Stack

Here's her photo:

... and here's my project for today:

And yes, I had to put this stamp set together before I could make the card.  I love the Zoo Babies stamp set and just hadn't had an opportunity to use it yet.  I haven't made a baby card for a long time either, so this was fun.

Back to Smoky Slate... A Color Story in 2 Versions... and the End of our New Colors Series

Today, we will wrap up our series on our new colors by going back to Smoky Slate.  When I made my first cards with this new color, I did not yet have my new Color Coach.  I decided, once I got it, that I'd make cards using the suggested color stories from the Color Coach.

In my previous post, I showed you 1 color story on a card with Washi Tape.
The color story:
  • Smoky Slate
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Whisper White
Here is a second color story, which I've used for 2 different cards.
Here is version 1:

The color story:

  • Smoky Slate
  • Soft Sky
  • Calypso Coral

Here is version 2:

The second card has more Calypso Coral and this last one has more Smoky Slate.
Leave a comment and tell me which card you like the best.  Have a great day!

The Last New In Color (in our series): Strawberry Slush

Today, we meet the last new In Color in our series on our new colors --- Strawberry Slush.  This is a yummy color and makes me want a strawberry snow cone.

Here are the cards based on the Color Coach suggestions:
I must say, the one one the right got lots more shots, but I do like them both.  Changing the color story really made a difference in these 2 cards.  Which color combo do you like the best?
On both embossed images, I've used the back (debossed) side of the image for a little bit different look.  It gives a nice, but subtle, texture to the background.

Color story for the card on the left:
  • Strawberry Slush
  • Rich Razzleberry
  • Sahara Sand
Color story for the card on the right:
  • Strawberry Slush
  • Coastal Cabana
  • Crisp Cantaloupe

Baked Brown Sugar... Yummy!

Today, let's continue our series on meeting the new colors.  Meet a new In Color, Baked Brown Sugar.  This is a really yummy color and the Color Coach suggested some combinations that I would not have thought of trying.
The first color story is Baked Brown Sugar, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.  This combination makes for a very rich looking card.  With the red and green, I tried hard to NOT make it look like a Christmas card.  I just wanted something different, for more of a challenge.

The second color story is Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and Bermuda Bay.  Crisp Cantaloupe is also a new In Color.  Bermuda Bay is an old favorite, returning color.  I used my Aqua Painter to color in the sea star and the sea shells.

Both cards have images that are cut out and mounted on dimensionals, for added texture.
So, once again, I'll ask you --- which color story do you like the best?
