2 Fall Leaf Cards

I have 2 more Fall cards for you today, using leaves in various and pretty ways.  My plan here is to go through to the end of November with my remaining Fall cards and projects and then start right out in December with all Christmas.  I think that's a good plan.
My first card has an embossed background and an embossed leaf.  This embossing folder is one of our 6X6" folders and it is extra thick.  The embossed result is just gorgeous.  I hope we see more folders like this one in the future:)
I sponged extra color onto the embossed leaf.
My second card has embossed leaves stamped directly onto the DSP, as well as an embossed leaf --- cut and attached to be the focal piece for my card.
I sponged extra color onto this leaf, as well.  Did you notice that I have a double row of ribbon?  I love it!
So there you have it ... 2 more Fall card ideas.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you have a coupon from Toby Joe for $10. off an upcoming class, you may use it for $10. off the card kits shown below.  Be sure whenever you use a coupon that you have it with you.  I need these for tax records.

You're In My Thoughts Card

Here's a card for you today that uses a favorite technique of mine ... embossing, sponging and then spritzing over the embossed layer for your card.  I've used this technique many times because it always turns out to be just beautiful.
I watercolored a bit of background on the circle piece and then embossed the sentiment with our new Copper EP.  I also sponged around the edges to give it more dimension.
The circle piece is attached with dimensionals, with a couple pieces of ribbon beneath it.  This card could be used for many occasions.  It's good to keep a bunch of cards in your stash that can be adapted to multiple occasions, so you'll always be prepared.
I always love the look of all these Fall colors together.

A Beautiful Fall Tree and A Mini Tutorial

I'm enjoying our beautiful Fall weather.  Although I haven't been able to take a walk, due to my leg injury, I still notice and enjoy the trees as we drive by them.  My tree today still has lots of wonderful foliage in beautiful Fall colors.
This is one of the cards we made at one of my previous Saturday Stampers class.  It is stamped onto a circle of watercolor paper.  The circle behind it is cut from some of our wonderful Copper Foil.   The circle pieces are attached to one of our Specialty Papers which is sponged to a gorgeous Fall color.  After I tied the burlap ribbon around the card, I attached a tiny leaf with a teeny, tiny rhinestone.  I love it!
A mini tutorial for creating this beautiful tree:
- Stamp the bare tree onto watercolor paper.
- Stamp 2 or 3 Fall colors of 'leaves' (1 at a time) onto the watercolor paper.
- Gently spritz the 'leaves' with water, using just enough to gently blend the colors.
- Using an Aqua Painter, paint some green under the tree, for 'grass'.
- Once it's all completely dry, spritz (just the white circle) with shimmer mist.
- Assemble your beautiful card and enjoy.

Copper Tree Fall Card And A Few Good Tips

I have a card for you today that is full of sparkle and shimmer.  The tree is cut from our Copper Foil Sheets and the background is endless shimmer ... because I really spritzed it ... a LOT.
More about the background:
- Cut an oval from watercolor paper.
- Add a couple of colors quickly, using an Aqua Painter.
- After the background dries, spritz it (A LOT) with a shimmer mist.
Tips for attaching a 'sprig' of ribbon:
- Add Liquid Tombow to the flatter side of the knot.
- Take a large punch (leaving it closed) and set it over the knot.
- Leave the punch weighting down the knot until the adhesive dries.
In the photo below, you can see all the shimmer I added to the background.
We made this card at one of my previous Saturday Stampers classes.  It was a big hit.
Don't forget these upcoming events:
October 1 is World Card Making Day.

Double Oak Leaves Fall Card

Take my previous Fall card design, turn the leaves the opposite direction, change up the embellishment, add a strip of DSP... and you have today's card.  Ta Da!
I have stacked tow of our gold metallic buttons again for the embellishment, topped with a few sprigs from our burlap ribbon.  Stamped leaves on the envelope tie everything together.
I've added a layer of Crushed Curry over the Mossy Meadow card base.
Same technique...

Double Buttons, Double Leaves Fall Card

How about another beautiful Fall card today?  I love the text on this one.
I played around with my embellishment, stacking up TWO gold metallic buttons, then adding bits of frayed burlap ribbon.  Our Liquid Tombow holds it all together easily.
My color story:
Cajun Craze
Crushed Curry
Mossy Meadow
a touch of BlackBerry Bliss
These were made with the same technique as in my previous post.

Back to More of my Fall Cards

Today, let's get back to some more of my Fall cards.   These were made with a similar technique to the framelits leaves cards I've shared in several previous posts, but this time I used our large die... to get larger leaves.
I fringed out some pieces from our burlap ribbon to make an embellishment with one of our gold metallic buttons.
Remember this card?  I created the leaves for it using the same technique.
After sponging my CS and then adding touches of gold embossing, here's how I cut the leaves.
I've saved all the scraps and will use them to cut out more leaves and/or pumpkins using our framelits.
