2 Fall Leaf Cards

I have 2 more Fall cards for you today, using leaves in various and pretty ways.  My plan here is to go through to the end of November with my remaining Fall cards and projects and then start right out in December with all Christmas.  I think that's a good plan.
My first card has an embossed background and an embossed leaf.  This embossing folder is one of our 6X6" folders and it is extra thick.  The embossed result is just gorgeous.  I hope we see more folders like this one in the future:)
I sponged extra color onto the embossed leaf.
My second card has embossed leaves stamped directly onto the DSP, as well as an embossed leaf --- cut and attached to be the focal piece for my card.
I sponged extra color onto this leaf, as well.  Did you notice that I have a double row of ribbon?  I love it!
So there you have it ... 2 more Fall card ideas.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you have a coupon from Toby Joe for $10. off an upcoming class, you may use it for $10. off the card kits shown below.  Be sure whenever you use a coupon that you have it with you.  I need these for tax records.

What A Fun Class We Had!

We had a wonderful class last night and had so much fun.  We did a really fun layout design where I combined Traditional Scrapbooking with Project Life Scrapbooking.  They blended together beautifully.  I feel so blessed to be able to lead a group such as this one.
I just love how these turned out.  I need to get out some photos and get busy finishing up this layout.
The large black photo mat is an 8 1/2" square.  I thought you could add one larger photo on it or stagger several smaller ones.  You could even do a 4-photo layout on this page inside the black square.
The plain Crushed Curry and Black CS sections are for photos.

I still have two openings for Saturday's class:

A Pocket Card with A Special Gold Secret

I haven't made a pocket card for a while and this one was really fun.  I had just gotten a new paper stack of Neutrals and so that started me on my color story.  I'll show you the card and then explain the gold on it.
Did you figure out how I got the gold on it?  It's heated gold embossing powder!  How did I do it?  You won't believe how easy it is to do this!  I laid down a strip of Sticky Strip, sprinkled on the gold EP and then heat embossed it.  Yes, it was that easy!
Actually, the Sticky Strip just retired (I had some left over.) but I think it would work just as well with our new Tear and Tape Adhesive.  You're just basically holding the EP in place while you heat it.  The tape strip gives it an automatic straight and even line, with perfect edges.
Our new Metallic Gold Thread just pulls it all together and the pearls add a subtle, elegant touch.  After you read my post, go get out some tape and try this.  You'll love it.
By the way, the pocket is just attached with Liquid Tombow on the sides and bottom.  It's super simple.  I hope you like it.
This card was inspired by Pootles (Sam Donald) --- http://pootles.co.uk and, if you check out her blog, you'll fall in love with her beautiful work and soft, melodious voice.  Her forte seems to be in making all shapes and sizes of wonderful boxes, but she makes some pretty nice cards, too... a very talented lady.

Cherry Cobbler You've Got This

How about a card today in one of my most favorite colors --- cherry cobbler?  This one was pretty quick and easy to create and I love how it turned out.
I added layers of Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black behind the DSP layer on the card front and then rounded the corner of each.  It adds a nice little detail in a super simple way.
The flower is painted with ink and my Aqua Painter and then cut out and attached with dimensionals.
The inside of the card and the envelope are stamped to coordinate with it all.

Joy Ride and New Wheels for Stampin' Up!

Remember when I did my little series on color inspiration from photos?  Here's another card that I made using the Rev Up The Fun stamp set.  This card sports an embossed motorcycle and a smidgen of ribbon.  I've also made a coordinating, lined envelope.

My color story:
Pacific Point
Smoky Slate
Basic Black

Speaking of joy rides and all, check out the new wheels for Stampin' Up!  I love this van!!!
