Tutorial for Stamping Text Pieces Using the Stamparatus

Remember our beautiful Christmas card kits we had last Christmas?  With this kit, as well as many other fun kits, there are little pieces that require careful placement for the stamped text.  Once we got the Stamparatus, this became an easy process.  It's this simple:
- Using the negative pieces to guide the placement, along with sticky notes, you can achieve perfect placement every time.
- Once you have the placement exactly where you want it, remove the sticky note.
- Holding your piece in place with a new sticky note, ink up your stamp and stamp the piece for your card.  It works!

Here are the cards with the perfectly stamped little pieces.  Now, to catch up my last couple of Paper Pumpkin kits.

Last Ditch Effort Leads to a Great Discovery

Oops!  I meant to share this particular post with you some time ago.  I guess it's better late than never.  My great discovery happened way back in December.  I was trying to finish up some more Christmas cards and became frustrated by how long it was taking me to peel off the adhesive-backed strips of gold foil from our Timeless Tidings card kits.  These kits were beautiful and I really wanted to make some more cards from them but I was running out of time.
At the same time, we had workers running about as we were undergoing our water damage repair and my studio renovations.  This was frustrating and distracting to my creative mode.  I thought the kits would keep me going until I could have some peace and quiet to do my own designing and creating, but I was so frustrated with this adhesive situation.  I kept thinking ... if only there was something you could swipe over the adhesive to collect all the stray pieces.  And that's when my discovery came to be.  I used a lint roller!  Yes, a lint roller.  I was a happy camper!!!
Here are the cards.  Remember this kit?  It was so pretty!
See the pieces that were still stuck in the foil strip.
Check this out!  Roll the lint roller across the back and the stray pieces came away ... almost like magic.  It does not hurt the adhesive either and it still adheres to your card perfectly.
Now, the strip is perfect and ready to go on a beautiful card.
Yes, I collected a lot of these stray pieces.
I hope we get another beautiful kit for next Christmas ... and, if it has any strips like these in the kit, I will have my lint roller ready:)  File this technique away for future use.

Card Kits ... Which Two Are Staying?

I hope you've enjoyed my series of posts sharing all the various card kits I've made.  I actually still have one set to make up yet and that's the last Paper Pumpkin kit, which will be some pop-up birthday cards.  I hope to get to those soon.
So now that you've seen all these different card kits, you may be wondering if any will be staying around when the new annual catalog comes out.  Well, you are in luck.  Two kits are staying!  Here are the two that will still be available in the new catalog.
These kits are the Lots of Happy card kit and the Notes of Kindness card kit.
Before I go, I want to share something with you.  I've seen the upcoming catalog online now, on the Demonstrator web site (a perk of being a demo:).  It is fabulous.  Now that the lists are out for the retiring products, I know you may have questions.  We can talk about this a bit at our May Scraps and Prayers class.  I think, after seeing the lists and seeing the new catalog, I can relieve some of your fears you may have that some items may not really being going away after all.  Some come back as a new and improved version, like they've been away for a spa retreat or something:)  Good to know.  I'm looking forward to our next class.  If you cannot attend, you can always leave me a comment or send me an email.  Now go stamp something.  Wait!  First, check out these reminders for what's up next.

I have one more kit for you today ... the last in my series of kits.  This is one of my favorites.  It's our Soft Sayings card kit.  I hope you've enjoyed seeing all our kits and that you'll jump in and try some.  Come on now.  They're fun!
These are soooooo pretty.  You get 4 designs of note cards and 2 designs of gift card enclosures.
I bundled up a set of mine and put them in one of our Acetate Card Boxes.  These will make a nice gift.

Card Kits --- A Ton of Fun / Part Seven ..... AND ..... Retiring Products Lists

I'm sorry I never got around to sharing our Sale-A-Bration card kit sooner.  Time just got away from me.  Here it is for today, in case you have a kit and haven't put it together yet.  This one was super easy and lots of fun.
There were 2 designs, both with a very vintage look.
All our kits come with coordinating envelopes.  This is a nice feature.
I made mine up into gift bundles.  Now, I'm ready with a last-minute birthday gift or a 'just because' gift for a special someone.  I think I know who will get these.  Shhh!  It's a secret.

Card Kits --- A Ton of Fun / Part Six

Here's another Paper Pumpkin card kit for you.  This one featured all succulents --- a very popular trend right now.  I love succulents because they are one of the few kinds of plants I seem to be able to not kill.  Still, I  must admit that most of mine are not of the living variety.  They make some really good fake ones these days, tee hee hee.  My cards, though, are the real deal.
Aren't these pretty?

Card Kits --- A Ton of Fun / Part Five

Today's post is all about feathers.  I had the pleasure of finishing up ALL of my 'finish this up some day soon' stash of projects and this was one of them.  Yes, you heard me right.  I now have absolutely no backlog of projects waiting to be finished.  What a feeling!
These cards are from a Paper Pumpkin kit.  One is a larger card and one is a smaller, tri-fold card.

COMING SOON --- APRIL 15!
Our Big Shot will be among the retiring products, to make way for a future new and improved tool.  If you are planning on ordering one, I would certainly suggest you do not wait.

We will still carry dies and embossing folders and new products will be added soon, but a new die cutting machine will not make the new annual catalog release.  We can look forward to that at a later date.
When this list comes out, products will be sold 'while supplies last' and you could miss out on something you really wanted if you wait too long to order it.
