More Fun with Pop-Up Posies

In my last post, I shared some cards and tags I made with the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit.  Today, I'd like to share what else I've made with the kit.

First up, I used the flowers to decorate a couple of small grapevine wreaths.  I love how they brighten them up --- like a breath of Spring!  I've wrapped the wreaths with some of our new Two-Tone Ribbon --- Basic Gray.

Remember, you can use the tags as actual tags...
... and you can use the tags on projects...

I LOVE using the Fancy Favor Box in my projects.  These tags look so cute on them.  You can fit all kinds of treats and/or small gifts into the boxes.  Who wouldn't want a gift like this?

... and, of course, you can make some more cards...
Instead of using the posies from the kit, I added some of the roses I'd dyed from a previous project.  To see how to dye the roses, click here.

Below, you can see a close-up of how I embossed the card with our new Borders Scoring Plate.  That's another way to add a super fun look to your projects.
So, now I challenge you...   What else can you come up with to make using this fun kit?  Come back and share your ideas.  I'd love to hear from you!

The Fancy Favor Box

The Fancy Favor die is one I use all the time.  I love it.  Here are some ideas you can do with it to add some great fun to your holidays.  The sky is the limit when it comes to ideas of what to put inside your cute little gift box.  Get out your dies and punches and have some fun!

Here's the entire gang of cute little critters.

Use real red CS for the Santa.

Use chocolate chip for the reindeer.  (The antlers are from the leaf die!)

Use crumb cake for the gingerbread man, with lots of sponging for texture.

Use whisper white for the snowman.

Use basic black for the penguin.  (The feet are the large heart punch!)

When you've finished all your cute little critters, try some votives.   These cherry cobbler votive holders have little battery operated 'candles' inside them.  After punching out the snowflake, cover the opening with vellum and the soft light will filter through the opening.

And don't forget this one, using 2 Fancy Favor boxes.

Now go try some of your own and let me know how they turn out.  Maybe you can come up with some new ideas for the Fancy Favor box to share with us.  Happy stamping!

Fancy Favor Gift Box

This is a great gift box idea to use when 1 Fancy Favor gift box just isn't big enough.  This project was inspired by our Stampin' Success magazine for demonstrators.

Cut 2 Fancy Favor boxes using the Big Shot, one whisper white and one cherry cobbler.  I embossed them both with Craft Ink (cherry cobbler) and Iridescent Ice EP.  Because there are score lines on the sides (so you can squeeze your box into more of a closed shape, if desired), it's easy to squeeze one just enough to fit inside the other one.  A great advantage to this, besides the fact that it can hold more, is that it can be easily opened without tearing up all your beautiful work.  I added some of our quilted satin ribbon (cherry cobbler, to match the cherry cobbler CS) and tied on a tag that was stamped and embossed with our wonderful Pewter EP.  The wreath is from the Bright Hopes stamp set in the current holiday mini catalog.  The snowflakes stamped on the boxes are from the Serene Snowflakes stamp set.
I hope you'll try making some gift boxes for the holidays.  They're quick, fun and easy --- my favorite kind of project!  Happy stamping!
