Simple, Elegance ... Another Magnolia Card

Sometimes, you just want to create a simple and yet elegant card.  Magnolias were born to help with that.  Here's today's card.  I made a bunch of them for our church to send to our July birthday people.  Speaking of July birthdays, it's getting dangerously close to my own birthday.  Yikes!  It's a good thing I'll be 22 ... again!  My grandkids don't believe this anymore, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it:) 

The stamps from our coordinating Magnolia Blooms stamp set work beautifully for stamping a coordinating envelope.  I used the stamps from our Good Morning Magnolia set to stamp the front and inside of my card.

I love the look of the gold embossing on our Crumb Cake CS.  The subtle touches of pink add such elegance. The birthday greeting is from our Magnolia Blooms set, as well.  I know I'll be using that one a lot.  The font is easy to read and it's a good size.

Simple, yet elegant.  I love it!

A Fun Wall Frame

Before I share today's project, please note that I changed one date from my previous post.  Our Christmas Cards Retreat will be on Sunday, October 6 (not the following week) and you'll need to pay to register by September 27.  OK, now for today's project.
I have this wall frame that has 5 sections in it, for photos or memorabilia and I like to use it to show off some of our beautiful Designer Series Papers.  When we did all our reconstruction work and my studio improvements, I was hesitant to put too many nail holes back into the wall and had taken down my frame.  Before my Summer Open House Party, I realized I was really missing it, to display the papers.  I took down a little hoop/wreath and moved it and then used that nail to rehang my fun frame.  I filled it with some of our gorgeous Magnolia Lane DSP and then added a few fun touches.  Everyone raved about it!  I was blown away.  It actually became one of the most popular projects I had on display, along with my 2 magnolia wreaths.  Here's my frame:

I love how this turned out and it really is fun to have in my studio.  I can enjoy it every day.

A Trio of Copper Tea Tins, Prize Winners and My Schedule Update

I recently decorated a trio of our cute little copper tins.  They were so popular at my Summer Open House Party that I decided we could decorate one for our October Scraps and Prayers class.  I will determine if it will be for Fall or Christmas after I see what's new in our upcoming Holiday Catalog.

Stamparatus Magnolias ... So Fun ... and Easy!

At my July Scraps and Prayers class, I'll be teaching how to use the Stamparatus and Simply Scored tools to create a super fun card ... with magnolias, of course.  Here are the cards I've made:

I actually made 2 versions of my design.  In case you don't want to mess with trying to tie a little bow, you could punch out a couple of leaf trios.  Some days are bow days and some just aren't.

I used scoring lines on my scrap template to determine the best placement for the text, in the center of my square.  Once I had that figured out, I could use my Stamparatus to keep the placement exactly right for my cards.

I added a touch of stamping on layers inside my cards, as well.

I really like how my cards turned out.  I love the little blossoms.

It's always nice to have a little stash of 'Thinking of You' cards.

More Magnolias ... It's A Good Thing

I'm enjoying working with our new magnolia products (as well as many others:) so much!  Here's another of my latest creations.  Enjoy! 

My favorite part of this card is the embossed foil layer.  I used our Subtle TIEF (textured impressions embossing folder) and it created a beautiful texture for my card.

Once the Craft Ink is dry (It takes a while.) you apply touches of color (I used Petal Pink ink.) over it to achieve the look you want for your card.

... and, before you go ... here are 3 versions of magnolia cards.  I love them all!  Of course, you can change the text to say anything you'd like for your cards.

Good Morning Magnolia 2 Ways

I have more magnolias for you today and 2 more ways to design your cards.  Enjoy!

Here's a simpler version, on a Crumb Cake card base.  We'll be making this one at my July 8 Scraps and Prayers class.  I love it on Crumb Cake.

Here's a stepped-up version, on a Mossy Meadow card base.

For an added touch of fun, I added more layers to the inside of my cards.

Of course, you can change the sentiment and try other colors, as well.  Which version do you like the best?
