Come Sail Away Card

I have a fun card for you today, from our Come Sail Away Suite.  Enjoy!

I've used a variety of 'sprigs' from my stash, framelits, DSP and punches for this project. 

I did something a little different on the front of this card.  Can you tell what it is?  I cut the front layer shorter and used a pretty striped DSP to show through from the inside of the card.  It matches the envelope flap:)

Change to a birthday sentiment and this could be a great male card, also.

I love the versatility of this DSP.

I used a plain, white card base.  I seem to need more and more of the 'Thinking of You' type cards.  This could easily fill a variety of occasions.

Embossed Brick Birthday Card

Would you like an idea for a card that would work well for a male or female?  I have one for you today.  Enjoy!

I used various leaves and sprigs from my die collection to fill my milk can.  I love the milk can stamp and enjoy a big red one on my front porch.  If you scroll all the way to the end today, you can see it.  I used White Craft Ink and a little Smoky Slate ink to randomly sponge over the embossed bricks to 'age' them a bit.

I decided to add a torn edge to the embossed layer, for added interest.  I love how this one turned out.

The Country Home stamps make for a nice image to use on the coordinating envelope, as well.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets.  I feel like there's a lot more yet I can do with it.

More Magnolias ... It's A Good Thing

I'm enjoying working with our new magnolia products (as well as many others:) so much!  Here's another of my latest creations.  Enjoy! 

My favorite part of this card is the embossed foil layer.  I used our Subtle TIEF (textured impressions embossing folder) and it created a beautiful texture for my card.

Once the Craft Ink is dry (It takes a while.) you apply touches of color (I used Petal Pink ink.) over it to achieve the look you want for your card.

... and, before you go ... here are 3 versions of magnolia cards.  I love them all!  Of course, you can change the text to say anything you'd like for your cards.

Good Morning Magnolia 2 Ways

Here's a simpler version, on a Crumb Cake card base.  We'll be making this one at my July 8 Scraps and Prayers class.  I love it on Crumb Cake.

Here's a stepped-up version, on a Mossy Meadow card base.

For an added touch of fun, I added more layers to the inside of my cards.

Of course, you can change the sentiment and try other colors, as well.  Which version do you like the best?

Botanical Butterfly Cards, Design 1

Here is the first design I made using my 'Class on the Go' Kit from our January Scraps and Prayers.  I made 2 versions, one with each side of the DSP sheet.

I love the black and white!  A cool thing about this DSP is that one side of each sheet is in color and the reverse side is black and white.  Love that!

I used several punches on my cards --- quick and easy.

Each kit has an entire 1/4 sheet of embossed black CS, so you can cut it to whatever sizes you'd like to use in your cards.  The patterned butterfly is fussy cut, using one of the butterflies from the DSP.  If you don't want to fussy cut, you can use the coordinating stamp set for the Butterfly Duet punch and just stamp and punch out your butterfly.

Farmhouse Christmas Plaid

I've been changing up what I am making for our October 20 Saturday Stampers class.  There are just so many pretty stamps, punches, dies, papers and embellishments, it's a happy problem to try to narrow it down to your very favorites.  Today's card is one I really love.  You can't beat plaid for Christmas.  I've extended the deadline to pay to register for this class (to October 15) to be sure I have time to share it all with you, so you can choose which class you want to try next.  Here's my card.

This card is packed with fun products to use in creating it.  One of the nice things about taking a class is that you get the opportunity to try out our new products, so you'll know which ones you might like to order for yourself.  You can't beat hands on ... not to mention how much fun we all have while creating.

Saturday Stampers Christmas Possibility

Here's a sneak peek at one of the cards we MAY be making at our October 20 Saturday Stampers class.  I'll make my final choices as I finish designing more cards.  Whatever I choose, they will be beautiful and I know you'll enjoy making them.  If you wish to participate, you'll need to pay to register by October 15.  We'll be making all Christmas cards!
