Fable Friends Note Card

I have a cute little note card for you today.  I've used our darling little Fable Friends for this one.

I've used Stampin' Blends to color in just the flower and the leaf.

To add a special look (and a pop of extra color) to any card, trim off 1/4" from the front layer of the card base and attach a strip of DSP (slightly wider than 1/4") to the inside of the card.  You can do this with any top OR side fold card.

Quick and Easy Black and White Card

I love the clean, crisp look of black and white checked.  I used it for today's card and made a quick, easy, cute card to share with you.

Sponging on the color is a fun way to quickly add some color to your card.  I have checks inside and out ... and ... on the envelope flap ..... head to toe checks:)

Bunches of Butterflies ... a Duo and a Trio

Before I share today's post ... 
Here's a reminder for my Scraps and Prayers people ...
I will have a sneak peek for you ASAP.  I have all 3 of our cards nearly finished.  They are so pretty and shout Spring, for sure.  One card involves watercoloring the flower from our Beautiful Day stamp set.  The second card uses our Daisy punch and has a couple of super fun and easy techniques using two of our Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (TIEF).  The third card has yet a third technique for using our embossing folders.  It's also fun and super easy.  We'll be using the Stamparatus, too, so that our stamping will come out just perfect.  I think you'll love this class!  Pay to register soon, to save your spot.

And now, today's fun ...

I get Spring Fever this time of year, but not in a lie around and be lazy kind of way.  It drives me to take on all kinds of ambitious projects, as I feel filled with renewed energy.  As the earth wakes up from its winter sleep, I kind of do, too.  Silly maybe, but I've seen a pattern.  It may be even worse this year because I'm just now getting back more of the use of my hand ... and ... we had such a long, tedious winter.  My middle grandson told me yesterday that he misses winter.  I told him he may be the only one around here who does.  Actually, I love all the seasons and Spring and Fall are my favorites.  Part of that plays into the artist in my soul, as Spring and Fall seem to be such wonderful times for colors.  Colors seem to wake up in Spring, go very vivid in Summer, and then, well, Fall is a whole palette of gorgeous colors.  Spring makes colors come alive and my soul bursts with happiness. So, in the spirit of today's frenzy, I have bunches of butterflies to share with you. 

I scattered sequins here and there to add a bit of bling.

I love the Balmy Blue with the black and white color story.

All the butterflies were fussy cut from DSP.

Bloom By Bloom Note Card

I have a fun little note card for you today.  It coordinates with the mini pizza box I shared in an earlier post.  (Click here to see that post.)

We always need quick little thank you notes, so this is a good one to have on hand.  You can quickly cut scraps of DSP and make multiples.  The photopolymer stamps are quick and easy to align, or you can use your Stamparatus if you're worried you'll miss the alignment.

A little strip of DSP adds so much to a note card, even if it makes it more difficult to photograph your card:)  I use this design a lot.  Just trim 1/4" off the front of your card and add a slightly wider strip to the inside.  (This works for a larger card, as well.  You can stamp a coordinating envelope and, if you have enough DSP, you can decorate the flap of the envelope, too.

Bloom By Bloom Mini Pizza Box

How about a sneak peek at one of our Make and Take projects for my Spring Open House Party?  One Mini Pizza Box project coming right up!

Isn't this just stinkin' cute?!!!

We're going to make a little gift enclosure card for the inside of our box but we are NOT going to put Snickers in our boxes, because they're just too difficult for me to have around here, but this shows you how there's room for a treat and a card and a small present.  Cash or a gift card would be fun:)  I love these little boxes.

Laugh Cry Smile Card

Laugh ... Cry ... Smile ... Repeat.  That kind of sums up daily life sometimes.  Thankfully, I've been able to have the laugh / smile parts the most.  That's good.  I love the text of this card.  The whole thing came out quite pretty.  Of course it would, with this gorgeous DSP and all the butterflies:)

I added Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to the punched butterfly.  I attached him by just the middle of his body, so his wings could be more dimensional.  The card base is one of our newer colors - Balmy Blue.  It's a really pretty shade of blue.

I covered the envelope flap with the DSP and then used a left-over strip to perk up the front.  Fancy:)

Botanical Butterfly Cards, Design 2

Here are the cards I made using the second design from my 'Class On The Go' kit.  Again, I made 2 cards, one with each side of the DSP.

I love the black and Highland Heather together ... very pretty!

I used a sponge dauber and ink to color a ribbon to match the Highland Heather card.

Isn't this new embossing folder pretty?  I love it!

I love both cards, but I think the one on the left is my favorite.  I love the black and white DSP on this one.
