Color Me Happy ... More About Our Color Revamp

My post today is all about the upcoming Color Revamp! There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics. In order to keep our color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, we moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection. We’ve also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful!
Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections below. So, here’s a look at all of the colors:

COLORS WE'LL BE WELCOMING BACK:

I'm especially glad to see Blackberry Bliss, Coastal Cabana and Mossy Meadow.  I love them.  Poppy Parade is gorgeous, too, and I've learned to live with Mint Macaron if I pair it with good color combos.

The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of color. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on color trends across different markets and industries. When we see changes happening, we review our color spectrum to ensure that we remain consistently on top of the trends.

This brings us to the 2018 Color Revamp!  In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colors, we decided it was time to give our color collections a makeover.

...about Color

The Color Coach says: "Think of color as a language. It helps you convey a message by setting a mood for your project. Just as you make a statement with words or images, you make a statement with color. If words are what you say, then color is part of how you say it." The combination in which you use color will have a great effect on how your project turns out because colors influence each other in how they are used together.. In many cases, you can substitute colors of a similar hue and change the look of your projects.
Until you become comfortable creating color combinations, you may want to just stay with TWO colors --- your main color and one accent color. If you want to use 3 colors, think of a paint swatch. Use the most of one color, half as much of the second color, and half as much of the third color as the second color --- walls, trim, and accent colors.
Also mentioned in the Color Coach: "The most powerful color tool is your sight. The human eye can distinguish over 10 million colors." No wonder I love to play with color.
