Holiday Projects

Here are some more holiday project ideas.  I hope they inspire you to go try some projects of your own.
The first project is a great little Halloween treat for someone special, complete with TWO medallions.  They are so fun and easy to make and super easy to attach to each other.  I used the Liquid Tombow glue to attach them together.
TIP:
If you find something light weight to place on top of the medallions while they're drying, it will insure that they dry super strong.

Here are some more Spice Cake projects, using DSP, buttons and fabric.  I wrapped linen thread around the jar top to hold on the fabric.  In a future post, I'll show you how to make the little 'springy' card you see in the background.

Here are 2 Christmas jars, using our Christmas buttons (Holly Berry Bouquet) and the Frostwood Lodge DSP.  The felt snowflake is made with the snowflake die on the Big Shot.  It's difficult to see it in the photo, but the felt actually has sparkles in it.
TIP:
When you cut felt on the Big Shot, it doesn't always want to come out cleanly.  I added a folded piece of waxed paper and the snowflake cut beautifully.

Lastly, here are some projects made with the 'Movers & Shapers' die on the Big Shot.  I love the little movable pieces that you can use to cut shaped windows.  I used the Christmas ornament die for these projects.
TIP:
Turn the movable piece one way and create a card.  Turn it the opposite direction and create a treat bag.  Add 2 additional score lines, equally distant from the original score line and you create a gusset for the bottom of the treat bag.

I spritzed the card with some of my Shimmer Paint/alcohol mixture, to give it added sparkle.  The purpose of the card and the treat bag project was to show how quickly and easily you can create a coordinated gift set.
Thanks for stopping by and check back again soon for more fun holiday projects.
